Crowned Heads Announces “CHC SERIE E” for PCA 2021 – Cigar News

is bringing a new line to 2021 “ ( Court) Serie E.” The original Reserve line was released in 2018. The , like many other releases, got its inspiration from a song. In this case, the instrumental rock guitar solo, “Eruption,” performed by Eddie Van Halen, from the album, “Van Halen” released on February 10, 1978. The song precedes “You Really Got Me” on the album and is often played together on the radio.

I listened to that solo and saw it as a sonic metaphor for smoking this cigar. From the drum and bass intro, which I saw as the cutting-lighting-prep of the cigar, to the mixing of triads and harmonics which I compared to the complexity of the flavor profile, to the bottoming-out dive bombs that was reminiscent of the finish of the cigar, it all paralleled seamlessly. The CHG Serie E smoking experience is a medium-plus-bodied dance on the edge between technical mastery and random entropy, resolving in a balanced, melodious harmony.
