This is the second time Balmoral has released a limited production lancero with the first being the Balmoral Añejo XO Lancero FT two years ago. Today. Royal Agio Cigars announced a new vitola for their Balmoral Añejo XO Oscuro line: a lancero. The Balmoral Añejo XO Oscuro Lancero FT Edición Limitada follow in the footsteps of the original XO line which received a lancero extension in 2016. Only 2650 boxes were made, and 500 of those will make to the U.S. Shipments will start in October.

Cigar News: Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) to Acquire Royal Agio Cigars

Today, Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG), the parent company of General Cigars, has agreed on the terms and conditions for the acquisition of all of the shares of Agio Beheer B.V. from Highlands Beheer B.V. Agio Beheer B.V. is the holding company of the Royal Agio Cigars group which includes the Premium Balmoral brand. The acquisition is on a debt and cash free basis and valued at EUR 210 million. It will be financed by cash at hand and debt.

Cigar News: Royal Agio and LFD Collaborate for Paso Doble

Last year Royal Agio Cigars USA collaborated with EP Carrillo for the first in their Balmoral Serie Signaturas,  DUETO. Now, the second in that series is a collaboration with Litto Gomez and La Flor Dominicana, the Balmoral Serie Signaturas Paso Doble. This new cigar will be sown in the Royal Agio booth at IPCPR later in the month.

Cigar News: Royal Agio Announces Balmoral Añejo XO Nicaragua

Royal Agio Cigars USA is releasing another extension to its Balmoral Añejo XO line: Balmoral Añejo XO Nicaragua. It will be shown off at IPCPR at the end of the month. Last year, the company added Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut and Balmoral Añejo XO Oscuro. All three join the original release Balmoral Añejo XO from back in 2015. All blends are said to only use the top 5% of select premium tobaccos available and include the exclusive Brazilian Mata Norte leaf.
