Blind Cigar Review: JRE | Aladino Corojo Reserva Robusto Initial Impressions

Appearance: 95

“Rustic milk chocolate colored wrapper with some prominent veins throughout. Solid cigar with no soft spots.” – (maninblack77)

Blind Cigar Review: JRE | Aladino Corojo Reserva Robusto Aroma: 94

“There’s a lot going on here in the aroma category. The wrapper is a nice mix of earth and dry cocoa while the foot adds a touch of wood and spice to the mixture. I hope the flavors don’t let me down, this smells incredible.” –James H (Keikan Jim)

First Third

Flavor: 94
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“Prelight draw is excellent and is sweet with white pepper and a salty finish. First light is sweet tobacco with Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Not sure I’ve ever had that in Cigar but there it is! White pepper retro will clear your sinuses so beware! Once going the cigar settles down a bit to provide bakers spice and sweet tobacco. The slightly salty finish lingers on the tip of the tongue and settles on your lips. So far, I’m really liking the flavors. Retro still has some bite but is much smoother.” –  (Keikan Jim)

“Used my djeep to toast the foot. Met immediately by dry cocoa and dry hay notes. Transition to milk chocolate and creamy nutmeg. Very good first third. All the flavors are right in my wheelhouse. Perfect burn. No touch ups needed.” – (maninblack77)

Second Third

Blind Cigar Review: | Reserva

Flavor: 94
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“Cocoa notes continue with a transition to more of those baking spices I really dig. Retro on this is amazing. Smooth cigar that doesn’t overpower you. Knocked the ash off about an inch in before it fell off onto my lap. Very enjoyable second third.” – (maninblack77)

“The second third was not disappointing at all. The leather core disappeared and it became more of a wood. The sweetness lessened and was really only present on the retro. The retro was smooth heat with the sweetness to it.” – (Mattehh)

Final Third

“The final third was much the same as the second but added a touch of smoke. This Cigar would pair well with any smoked meat and a sweeter bourbon or Porter. Right up my wheelhouse.” –  (Keikan Jim)

“This baby doesn’t disappoint! Milk chocolate returns and stays until the end. Great burn line. Had to nub it. I definitely didn’t want it to end. Great smoke!” – (maninblack77)

Overall Impressions

Draw: 98

“No problems at all with the draw pretty close to perfect.” – (Mattehh)

Burn: 99

“Not razor sharp with a slight waver. However, no touch ups were needed.” –  (Keikan Jim)

Blind Cigar Review: JRE | Aladino Corojo Reserva Robusto Construction: 98

“Very well constructed. I like a long ash so the cigar burns from the outside in capturing the fine soft wrapper.” – (Olin)

Experience Overall: 95

“Outstanding cigar. Would smoke anytime.” – (Olin)

“Beautiful cigar with excellent aroma and taste. Any flaws were minimal and did not affect the smoking experience. I truly enjoyed this cigar and would consider a box purchase or box split. Not perfect but solid in every category.” –  (Keikan Jim)

Blind Cigar Review: JRE | Aladino Corojo Reserva Robusto “This was a very enjoyable experience! Flavors were on point throughout and in my wheelhouse. Lots of dry cocoa and milk chocolate. I would definitely smoke these again. Box worthy in my opinion.” – (maninblack77)

“I really enjoyed this cigar. The Leather and wood core with a great sweetness throughout was great. The retro with the sweetness was a great addition. Normally I don’t get sweetness on retros.” – (Mattehh)
