Initial Impressions
Appearance: 91
“This petite corona sized cigar looked very appealing. It had a nice ark oily wrapper. It was a little toothy with some thin to medium veins.” –Craig (WyldKnyght)
Aroma: 91
“Nice aroma of sweet cedar with light leather.” –Ron (shuckins)
First Third
Flavor: 92
Strength: Medium-Strong
Body/Complexity: Medium-Full
“A nice shot of pepper on light up to get things started. This faded soon and allowed a good dose of woodsy tasting tobacco, along with light leather flavors to move forward.” –Ron (shuckins)
“Begins with an earthy, flavorful smoke. A light pepper kick, but not too much. There’s a warm, grassy flavor that reminds me of a note I last remember tasting in the Torano 50 Year Exodus. There’s the warm grassy flavor, and mild, sweet tobacco. It’s a surprisingly mild smoke, completely surprising me. I had expected a little powerhouse.” –Derek (StogieNinja)
Second Third
Flavor: 92
Strength: Medium-Strong
Body/Complexity: Medium
“During the second third, the flavors from the first continued, woody, earthy and peppery, although the pepper really started to overtake the other flavors. The draw continued to be easy, the uneven burn fixed itself and there was lots of creamy smoke.” –Craig (WyldKnyght)
“The hickory flavor is still around and playing nicely with the cedar and black pepper spice. At the end of this third, the body picks up a bit along with the hickory flavor and spice.” –Emmett (rhetorik)
Final Third
Flavor: 89
Strength: Medium-Strong
Body/Complexity: Medium
“The heat died down as the oak turned to more of a cedar flavor as it neared the end. This allowed more leather flavor to come through, although the pepper remained active and provided a fun little kick at the very end.” –Ron (shuckins)
“During the final third, you can start to pick up some creaminess in the cigar. The spice is still there but had moved to the background. The cigar has held a nice ash and continued to burn pretty much perfect. Since it’s so small, even at the start of the final third it’s starting to heat up and will make it hard to finish all the way to the end.” –Wes (SosaCub4Life)
Overall Impressions
Draw: 97
“The draw was great, right where I like it.” –Emmett (rhetorik)
Burn: 94
“Burned quite well. Decent smoke output, never went out even with decent rest, and had a decently straight burn line.” –Derek (StogieNinja)
Construction: 92
“Construction has been great. Lots of smoke, holds a strong ash and produced lots of smoke. Only issue would be how hot it got towards the end. Which again, I would expect from such a small cigar.” –Wes (SosaCub4Life)
Overall Strength: Medium-Strong
Overall Body/Complexity: Medium-Full
Overall Experience: 91
“A fun little cigar to smoke, perfect for those times when you want to squeeze in a quick smoke.” –Ron (shuckins)
“I thoroughly enjoyed this cigar, although the flavors did not change much, they were delightful. The draw and burn were good, and there was lots of thick creamy smoke.” –Craig (WyldKnyght)
“Solidly in the “very good” category throughout. Nothing major to detract from the experience. It’s not a special smoke, but it’s pretty decent. Not one I’d drop very much coin on, but if this is an inexpensive smoke, it would be worth stocking a few.” –Derek (StogieNinja)
“This was a really good smoke, my only real complaint is that it wasn’t longer. I find with these short smokes, you barely get to know each other, then it’s over. If this were available in a larger size, I would definitely consider picking up some more. The meaty wood flavors were a really nice change of pace, and while there weren’t a lot of transitions, it was complex enough in depth to keep me interested.” –Emmett (rhetorik)
“Overall, the cigar was OK. It would be good for a “quick fix” or a short drive. I wouldn’t pick it to smoke daily or for a nice relaxing enjoyable smoke. However it does serve a purpose.” –Wes (SosaCub4Life)
