El Artista Cigars brings a new line to IPCPR 2019, Buffalo TEN. “We feel this is the beginning of a great flagship product line for us,” says Radhames ‘Ram’ Rodriguez, President of El Artista Cigars, “not only does it smoke great but the whole package looks amazing. We have developed something that we feel cannot be beat”.
Today, Cigar Dojo and Espinosa Cigars announced another collaboration: Psychedelic Turtle. The two companies have previously collaborate and a number of releases including Sensei's Sensational Sarsaparilla, Feng Shui.
A new cigar company is officially launching this year at the IPCPR trade show and convention: A.C.E. Prime. There will be five lines launched at the beginning> The first two lines are M.X.S. by Dominique Wilkins and M.X.S. by Tiago Splitter. M.X.S. stands for Maximum Excellence and Success. The two lines are created for former NBA players Dominique Wilkins, and Tiago Splitter. Both will be in attendance at the show.
Altadis U.S.A. has expanded the H. Upmann Nicaragua by A.J. Fernandez line with a new format, a 38 X 4 handmade cigarillo in a 6- count tin. H. Upmann Nicaragua by A.J. Fernandez was originally launched in 2017, this new version will ship mid June 2019. This new vitola is named "Papi" which is a term of endearment and a favorite of master blender A.J. Fernandez, for those close to him.
Earlier this year Cubariqueño Cigar Co. released a small batch cigar exclusive to Berkeley Humidor, the Protocol John Doe. It sold out quickly and as a follow-up, they are releasing the Protocol Jane Doe. The name refers to how authorities give names to unidentified persons and is fitting as they are not releasing blend information.
Gran Habano has added a Corona vitola to their Blue in Green line. The original sizes are a 7 x 48 Churchill, 5 x 52 Robusto, and a 6 x 54 Gran Robusto. The new corona size is a 6 x 44 limited production smoke. Only 1,000 boxes will be made. It will begin shipping August 2019.

White Hat Cigars is bringing a new blend to IPCPR 2019, it's first since the HR Claro and HR Blue in 2016. Ilegal will come in three blends with three sizes. There will be Ecuadorian Habano, San Andres Maduro, and Ecuadorian Connecticut versions. All are offered in Robusto 5.5X54, Toro 6X50, and Gordo 6X60 in boxes of 20. Pricing ranges from $9.95 - $11.95 per stick.
