Drew Estate launched the Liga Privada Unico Year of the Rat back in 2016 as a cigar lounge exclusive. Now, the company is expanding that cigar to Drew Diplomat Events to coincide with the Chinese New Year and it will be shown at TPE 2020.
I guess the only complaint that I have against the cigar is the lack of flavor transitions over the first two thirds. The flavor that was present was good and there was lots of it. If you like an oaky woodiness with a bit of spice, then this would be a perfect match. The performance of this cigar was top notch. I had to pay no attention to the burn or tapping of the ash. With the strength of medium and the flavors that it offered, I would consider this a good middle of the day cigar or maybe the second cigar of the day if you are planning to smoke more than one.

Liga Privada Unico Serie Pancetta is making a return this month to Wooden Indian and Barrister Cigars. The cigar will be an exclusive to those two shops Liga Privada Lounges. Wooden Indian Tobacco Shop is in Havertown, PA and Barrister Cigars is located in Union, NJ. Pancetta goes on sale September 25th, and will be accompanied by a special virtual launch event.
Drew Estate announced today that its line Pappy Van Winkle “Tradition” would now be distributed exclusively by Pappy & Co. at www.pappyco.com. Previously, the cigar had been available at Drew Diplomat retailers in 5 vitolas, now there will only be two: Robusto Grande (5.5 x 54) MSRP $140.00 per box, and Toro (6 x 50) MSRP $150.00 per box. Both come in boxes of 10. Pricing for those two sizes is significantly less than before with the Robusto Grande previously selling for $216, and the Toro selling for $236.
Drew Estate is re-branding and relaunching its value-oriented Nica Rustica brand. The original brand intent was a tribute to the people of Estelí, Nicaragua and this new packaging and artwork reinforces that. Drew Estate will soon release Kentucky Fire Cured (KFC) Sweets. They are a twist on the KFC cigar with a sweet/savory tip. KFC Sweets will be available for order in Drew Estate’s Booth at the 2018 IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas. The cigar itself is identical to the original KFC cigar, but according to a Press Release "The mouth feel on the cigar is like bacon maple goodness mixed with bourbon and barbecue."
