Artista Cigars rolls out two line extensions and a new value cigar, Art-56, enriching their portfolio and offering distinct experiences for aficionados.
"I loved the flavor of this blend despite the few issues I ran into while smoking it.
The earthy graham cracker flavor with a hint of opening chocolate set the tone. Then the introduction of the cinnamon and baking spice put the flavor into a unique and delicious experience. I smoked it until I couldn't hold it and wished it had been a longer cigar.
I'm hoping a future trial of whatever this stick is would not have the opening draw and ending burn issues I ran into." -Lauren S. (Lauren S.)
Artista Cigars, now formerly El Artista Cigars, has announced a full rebranding of the company and new lines for PCA 2022 this week.
"Shockingly to me, I loved this cigar. I'm not a huge box-pressed cigar fan and this one is so thin worried me but it smoked wonderfully and the mouthfeel was not as harsh as expected. The flavors were complex and kept me interested the entire time. Starting with a red pepper blast that then settles into a smoky cedar and leather flavor. Complex baking spice and some surprise floral notes make this cigar stand out. I will absolutely seek out more of this stick in the future." -Lauren S. (Lauren S.)
El Artista has been making the Big Papi cigar line since 2016. In 2019, they added a line extension called "The Slugger which was a new, fuller-bodied blend, but it only came in one size, a 6 x 60 Gordo. Now, the company is releasing that same blend in a 5 x 50 format.
With the MLB opening day just around the corner United Cigars is bringing back the Big Papi Firecracker. This special Firecrackers version of the Big Papi originally launched in 2021, and honors the hall of fame first baseman and designated hitter David Ortiz. Ortiz played 14 seasons in the majors, finishing his career with ten All-Star appearances, three World Series rings and seven Silver-Slugger Awards.
"This was a rich earthy coffee cigar with side flavor notes or cabinet spice, cherry stone fruit, and nutty flavor. The cigar has a strong mouthfeel that coats the palate. Huge smoke bomb of a cigar producing a ton of smoke. Retrohale was at first super spicy red pepper and cinnamon and then calms down towards the end of the smoke." -Chad M. (Chad Tchad)
The MLB lockout may delay the start of the baseball season in 2022, but United Cigars will have something to celebrate no matter what. The Big Papi Firecracker by El Artista will be released on the scheduled MLB Opening Day. Retailers and cigar media will get a preview of the new cigar at the TPE Show this week in Las Vegas, NV. This Special Edition Big Papi Firecracker is a slightly stronger variation of the Slugger line by El Artista.
