"With a smoking time south of an hour, this smoke was quite literally short and sweet making it a shoo-in for a lunch break or any other occasion where time is not a luxury. It is hard to say with absolute certainty whether or not the missing chunk of wrapper right at the foot was intentional or not. The fact that the wrapper was not torn and the uniformity of the transition where the wrapper begins leads me to believe that this feature had a purpose. Regardless, it showcased and highlighted in an intriguing way just how much the wrapper leaf contributes to a cigar's aroma, blend, and flavor profiles. Without it, the cigar would certainly not be the same. Aside from the obvious transition that took place once the burn line reached the leading edge of the wrapper, this smoke was dead consistent with regards to flavors. A smoke this short doesn't need a ton of transitions and with such enjoyable flavors, I couldn't be happier in their absence. Not only were the flavors right in line with my preferences, they were well balanced and the smoke was buttery smooth. A top-notch draw and trouble-free burn were the cherries on top of an incredible smoking experience that I can not wait to have again." -Noah S. (Noah)
"Overall this was a very light flavor with it being very hard to pick up flavors from this cigar of creamy, earthy, and salty flavors. The part I did not like was the flavors did not stay on the palate and between puffs it almost felt like i was not smoking a cigar. " -Chad M. (Chad Tchad
"Overall, it was an okay smoke, no frills for me at least. If you like earthy notes with some pepper and char, this will be right up your alley. Little gave in way of sweetness save the grassy notes in the beginning that quickly faded halfway through. Draw issues with it being too tightly rolled made smoking it at times a chore, however all in all, eh, try it… you might like it, you might not, you be the judge…" -John A. (Bostoneo)
"The cigar was pleasing enough, but with the bunch and the draw it certainly took away from the experience. the cigar did have some bitterness. the last third really shined with the brown sugar joining it was a completely different experience." -Ryan H. (Ryan H.)
"This was an excellent cigar! It started off with your run of the mill flavors of coffee and nut flavors, but then there was this white pepper note that would just not leave and overpowered the cigar in a good way. As the cigar progressed the white pepper took a back seat and black pepper was the in the forefront, but the white wasn't finished and white and black had themselves a pepper war so to speak while still leaving room for hints of coffee and nuts. My only gripe was this cigar smoked really fast. I would have liked to have had a slower burn to enjoy more of those flavors. Would absolutely smoke again." -Mickey T. (irratebass)
"All in all, this was a very good smoke at night. Definitely not a morning or early afternoon cigar. This needs to be smoked on a full stomach with something to wash the flavors down with. Other than that, if you are looking for a powerful cigar to sit back and enjoy, this could be in your ballpark. Enjoy if you can and get ready for a true pepper bomb experience towards the end." -Steve (ThaGreatWazoo)
"I don't usually go for the bigger cigars but this was excellent start to finish. The sweet cocoa at the beginning that morphed into buttered toast and warm cinnamon at the midway point was perfectly balanced by charred oak and black pepper on the retro. The final inch or so got a little heavy on the wood notes but I would definitely smoke this one again after a big dinner with a nice rye to pair." -Vance T. (Vance)
"I didn't hate the flavors of this cigar and it preformed very well technically; I just found myself becoming bored of the flavor profile. It was also a little awkward to smoke due to its very large size and boxed pressed shape." -Alan (Eulogy)
