"Overall, this was an enjoyable cigar with very mild flavors, it remained medium bodied and light throughout the experience. The smoke started off fairly creamy and dried out throughout the cigar but never to a point of dislike. I would definitely recommend this to individuals with a lighter palette and would consider smoking again for sure. "Aside from the harshness of the initial puffs, I can't say a negative thing about this stick. Bitter flavors typically aren't my go-to when it comes to cigars but oddly they worked in this blend. The transitions were smooth, gradual, and plentiful which certainly made for an interesting smoke. As did the gambit of flavor profiles that encompassed everything from spicy, sweet, salty, tangy, and bitter. I also enjoyed that the flavors came full circle and ended where they began, intriguing me with every puff along the way. I can't help but wonder if some additional aging or time in the humidor would help smooth out some of the harshness at the very beginning. The Byron 1850 line was created to celebrate almost 175 years of the Byron family line. Selected Tobacco was created by Nelson Alfonso to offer cigars that are aged with a purpose. All the Selected Tobacco lines are placed into cedar lined rooms after they are rolled, the cigars are “cleaned” as they age with cedar notes. Humidity is raised and lowered to allow the cigars to breathe for 2 to 5 years, depending on the line.

"Overall, a very good cigar. With enjoyable flavors of cedar, cinnamon, and leather along with a pepper background. there was a small nicotine buzz that kicked in towards the end but nothing I couldn’t handle.
