A while back I received a sample of a new kind of ashtray called the Ash Stay. It's claim was to prevent wind from blowing ashes out of the tray and make for a less-messy experience.
I went through about half a box of spills as part of this review and each one had a consistent burn. I used both lighting methods I outlined above and never found that the spill overpowered the cigar flavors. Something to keep an eye out for is the ash from the spill. It is very thin and light, so the slightest breeze could get pieces floating around, so just be conscious of this when using them.
When the humidor arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by its appearance, it looked even better in person than the pictures on the website. The quality of the product is very good. The design is actually fused with the coating, not just a layer underneath, in a seamless layer giving it a very quality look. The main body and lid are solid metal, giving you plenty of protection from jarring and crushing.
The cigar punch is not a new invention, but still a necessity in every cigar smokers arsenal of tools.

Last year, Cigar Oasis announced that their next line of electronic humidifiers would be Wi-Fi capable and you would be able to view and adjust your humidor's humidity from anywhere. Naturally, this got the attention of many cigar smokers including myself. After spending quite a few months with the unit, I will give you my thoughts. This review will go through the set-up process, functionality of the unit and the app, and some overall conclusions.
I used approximately a dozen spills for this review and I have to say that every spill burned consistently. I used both lighting methods I outlined above and never found that the spill overpowered the cigar flavors. When I had the spillbox out on the kitchen counter, my wife saw it and said “That’s pretty cool looking,” so I guess you can say that the ladies dig it as well.
Blank cigar bands are something that we use quite a bit of here at Blind Man’s Puff. We remove the bands that cigars are shipped with and then use blank bands with a review number on the cigars that then get sent out to the reviewers. Over the course of a year we end up using more than 750 blank cigar bands.
Overall this case is wonderful. It exceeded my expectations in aesthetics and performed well functionally. This case is perfect for taking to the beach or your local cigar bar, and people will ask you about it. Given it's pricetag, this may not be for everyone, but given it's quality and great appearance and the accessories included, it's worth it to me.
