Cigar News: ACE Prime Gains Brazilian Distribution Cigars has announced that the company’s cigar will now be distributed in thanks to an exclusive distribution partnership with , one of the largest cigar importers in , run by Eduardo Llerena Hernandez, cigar distributor and longtime
friend of Eradio Pichardo. became one of the largest Cigar importers in the 1990’s when he moved from Italy to Sao Paulo and had the rights to import Cuban Cigars for over a decade in . Since 2001 Rafaelle has shifted to mainly import Nicaraguan cigars.

Eduardo has several lines of cigars, all rolled at Tabacalera Pichardo (Syboney, Nativos del Caribe, Llerena) and is one of the oldest clients of Tabacalera Pichardo. Eduardo also distributes to several cigar shops in , and owns the traditional “Consulado do Tabaco” a cigar shop in the neighborhood of Brooklyn in the city of São Paulo.

Eduardo and Rafaelle joined forces to distribute cigars in the entire Brazilian territory. “This partnership took place organically. Eduardo Llerena is a long time friend, since our time in Cuba at Habanos S.A, and one of our factory clients for over 10 years. I also known for many years as well. Unlike other markets, in order to import tobacco products in , the approval by a national regulatory agency is required (similar to the FDA in the USA). This process started last quarter and this month Llerena and Rafaelle obtained the approval to import brands.
