Casa Cuevas is bringing a new line to IPCPR 2019: Cuevas Reserva. The new line has two wrapper options, Natural and Maduro. Family patriarch Luis Cuevas Sr. originally introduced the Cuevas Reserva back in the early 2000’s but was limited until now.
The Cuevas Reserva Maduro uses a Mexican San Andres wrapper, Pilloto Cubano binder from the Dominican Republic, and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua (ometepe). The blend is said to be the favorite of Luis Cuevas Sr. in its full-flavor and medium-bodied smoke experience.
The Cuevas Reserva Natural has an Ecuadrian Connecticut wrapper, habano binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and the U.S.A.
President of Casa Cuevas Cigars, Luis Cuevas Jr. said: “The Cuevas Reserve for my father was supposed to be the Cuevas signature brand back well over a decade ago. As with all things in life, plans always change. I am proud to have worked closely with my father and my son Alec Cuevas, who is now part of the family business recreating this blend. I am ecstatic that this brand has come full circle, as we can now present it as a family project to the consumer.”
