Davidoff is expanding in the Hong Kong market with a brand new Flagship Store at The Peninsula. As a part of the opening, they are also releasing a commemorative cigar called PENINSULA 2020. The new 1,070 sq.ft Flagship Store at Mezzanine Floor ML10 of the historical building in Kowloon is 76% bigger than the original 607 sq.ft store at Ground Floor L9.
“We are delighted to expand our first Davidoff location in Asia and introduce our new retail and lounge concept for the first time in Hong Kong. The challenge in designing this cigar boutique was to preserve the company’s history but to continue our mission to delight and surprise our customers worldwide by delivering unique brands and unrivaled retail experiences,” explained Laurent de Rougemont, Managing Director of Davidoff Asia.
This new location has a bigger cigar lounge which can accommodate around 20 guests. The walk-in humidor, dedicated spirits corner and accessories zone offer a wide range of cigar humidors, cases, cutters, ashtrays, lighters and pipes. The Peninsula is one of the most prestigious home of international luxury brands. In Hong Kong, Davidoff also has stores at The Landmark, Central and Acanta stores in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui and The Park Lane Hotel, Causeway Bay.
To celebrate the expansion, a commemorative cigar is being launched with a second ring label marked ‘PENINSULA 2020’. The cigar itself is a Davidoff Aniversario No.3, and only 300 were made with this special secondary ring.
Designed in accordance with the globally-standardized “Davidoff of Geneva – since 1911” retail concept, the new store resembles a cigar box – stylishly elegant, contemporary, and warm, with interior design combining lush woods with natural materials in earthy tones that are reminiscent of the colour of the cigars. Since opening 46 years ago, Davidoff Peninsula is the first Davidoff cigar store in Asia, then we expanded our business across other Asian cities from Beijing to Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Taiwan.
