Emilio Cigars has announced a second release of their Limited Edition LJZ cigar. This cigar is a collaboration between Emilio Cigars and Black Label Trading Company (BLTC) and was the first cigar to come from the brand since Gary Griffith left in 2015. The name LJZ comes from the initials of the man behind the company L.J. Zucca.
The artwork and blend for LJZ were made by James Brown owner of BLTC and Fabrica Oveja Negra. He says, “I’m very excited about this release. This year we changed it up a bit by making the cigar with two wrappers. We combined the light Habano from the previous release with a Sun Grown Habano. This tweak adds a lot of complexity and a little spice to the original blend. Baking spice, cedar and cocoa are the prominent flavors in this well balanced, medium bodied cigar. The artwork I created is a tribute to Scott Zucca’s roots. Scott is the founder of Emilio cigars and I wanted to create artwork that paid homage to his Italian heritage.”
LJZ will ship this month. The blend uses two wrappers, Nicaraguan Habano and Sun Grown, Nicaraguan Habano binder, and Nicaraguan and Dominican filler. It comes in two sizes: Robusto – 5×52 (20 count) MSRP $10.00 and Toro – 6×50 (20 count) MSRP $11.00.
