The Connecticut Valley Reserve is the flagship line from PDR cigars. Now Michael’s Tobacco is getting an exclusive vitola. The blend is the CVR Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro and comes in a 6×60 Double Perfecto
Mike Peacock, owner of Michael’s Tobacco has always like the double perfecto size and was also a fan of the CVR Broadleaf Maduro and he was curious how the two would meld. Local PDR Sales rep Scott Lewis took the idea to PDR master blender, Abe Flores. Abe rolled a few samples, waited six months and was really pleased with the result.
The blend is the same as the Connecticut Valley Reserve using a Connecticut broadleaf maduro wrapper, a double binder of Ecuadorian corojo and Nicaraguan Habano and Nicaraguan filler from Condega and Criollo 98, and Corojo from the Dominican Republic.
This limited edition comes in a 15-ct Mahogany Lacquer box with polished brass hinges. The Michael’s Tobacco Logo is on the lid in gold foil. Each cigar is separated by its own cedar divider, five wide and three deep. The band is same the regular CVR Maduro band, but also has gold foil secondary band of Michael’s Exclusive. There are only 120 boxes being made. Each cigar is priced at $15.99.
This cigar is only available at Michaels Tobacco of Euless and Keller. They will be available on October 15, 2018.
