E.P. Carrillo Ships Allegiance – Cigar News

E.P. Carrillo Cigar Co. has announced that the fourth line in the Perez-Carrillo Series, Allegiance, is now shipping to retailers. Allegiance follows La Historia, Encore, and Pledge in the series.

“From the very beginning of E.P. Carrillo, we understood the importance of working with like-minded tobacco producers from across the globe. That is why we have partnered with Oliva Cigars, a well trusted legacy cigar company located in Nicaragua, known for great blends and consistent performance”

Ernesto Perez-Carrillo

E.P. Carrillo Allegiance is a Carrillo branded cigar, but is being rolled in Nicaragua by Oliva Cigar Co. Allegiance was blended by Ernesto Perez Carrillo using Oliva’s tobacco and and is only the second cigar to be produced outside of Tabacalera La Alianza in the Dominican Republic for the company.

The Allegiance has a Sumatra-seed wrapper, and the rest of the blend is entirely Nicaraguan. There are four sizes: Sidekick (a robusto measuring 5×50, $12), Confidant (a 6×52 toro, $13.10), Wingman (6 7/8×54, $13.50) and a larger cigar called Chaperone (6 1/4×58, which retails for $14). Each box comes with 20 cigars.

Allegiance has a green and gold color scheme. “The green came to mind because of its association with nature and particularly tobacco leaves,” Perez-Carrillo has said. “We even tried to get the green as close as we could to the tone of tobacco leaves in the fields.”

If you buy a box of these cigars and find the signature of Perez-Carrillo, you can get a free ashtray from E.P. Carrillo. There are fifty to be given away. Write info@epcarrillo.com if you receive a signed box.
