JRE Tobacco is adding two new Aladino Vintage Selection sizes this year. They are officially launching at the PCA tradeshow this July, but with a soft launch to a few retailers in May. The two new additions are the Elegante (Lancero 7 x 38) and Toro (6 x 50).
The Aladino Vintage Selection was originally released in 2020 in only one size, a 4 1/2 x 48 Rothschild. The Aladino Vintage selection gives a unique experience with their authentic corojo tobacco, a hallmark of Aladino cigars. The Vintage Selection uses an extremely approachable habano wrapper that can be enjoyed by seasoned cigar smokers and beginners alike. We reviewed the original Rothschild here.
The original Rothschild delivered a creamy profile. It was a balanced blend of habano and unique, authentic corojo. The result was a medium bodied cigar with notes of oak and leather, with subtle hints of cedar and of course and overall creaminess.
With the new Aladino Vintage Selection Toro, you can expect to enjoy everything you love about the rothschild, just in a larger and longer-lasting size. The elegante, a lancero, is a size that has quietly built up a loyal following for JRE. In this blend, the elegante size offers a little more strength and body and allows both the habano wrapper and the authentic corojo inside to each present themselves a little more distinctly. Both new sizes will sell for $8.00.
JRE is also adding a new vitola to the Cameroon line. The JRE Aladino Cameroon line was released in May 2020 in three vitolas: Robusto, Lonsdale, and Super Toro. This year, JRE is adding an Elegante (lancero 7 x 38) vitola to this line as well. The Aladino Cameroon Elegante was soft launched at Blue Smoke, a shop in Dallas. They received 132 boxes. As a thank you for getting the cigar early, the store donated $1 per cigar sold to Cigar Rights of America.
The new Elegante will officially launch at PCA 2021 in Las Vegas and be open to all their accounts. The new size will sell for $8. Unlike the rest of the line, the Lancero comes in boxes of 20, not 24.
