Plasencia Cigars is now shipping a new cigar to celebrate the Chinese Zodiac: Year of the Tiger. It was first shown off at TPE (Tobacco Plus Expo) 2022 which took place at the Las Vegas Convention Center this past January. This cigar follows last years “Year of the Ox” from the company, however, that release was only available overseas, this will be sold in the U.S.
The Year of the Tiger is a Nicaraguan Puro with tobacco aged 10 years from the Plasencia library of tobaccos. Because of the limited availability of this aged tobacco, only 2500 boxes were created and shipped to the U.S. market.
Smooth and flavorful is the best way I can describe the Year of the Tiger. This medium strength cigar delivers notes of chocolate, nuts, and some initial spiciness.
Plasencia Cigars CEO Nestor Andres Plasencia
The Year of the Tiger carries an MSRP of $40 and comes in boxes of eight. It comes in one size, a 6.25 x 54 toro.
