Protocol Cigars has announced a new 6 x 60 Gordo size in their Blue line of cigars. The new size will debut at the PCA 2021 trade show in Las Vegas. Protocol Blue was the first cigar line released by Protocol back in 2015. The other sizes in the line currently include a 6 x 52, 7.5 x 38 Lancero, and 5 5/8 x 46 Corona Gorda. This will be the first Gordo size made by Protocol, and pending the success of this launch, will add them to other lines.
The demand for a 6 x 60 has steadily been increasing over the years from our supporters, so we decided to feed that demand.

The Protocol Gordo retains the same blend as the original cigar which is an Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper, Double Nicaraguan Habano binder, and all Nicaraguan fillers. The Blue has 4 different ligero tobaccos in the blend, making it full-bodied.
We had to listen to the demands for a 6 x 60 vitola, so we couldn’t think of a more appropriate blend to launch a Gordo than the original “Blue” Protocol. We feel this blend will hold up great in a 6 x 60 format.

Like most other Protocol Cigars, The Protocol Blue Gordo will be rolled at Erik Espinosa’s La Zona Factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. Pricing is set at $11 per cigar. CIgars will ship shortly after the PCA trade show.
