This cigar’s appearance is quite extraordinary. From the difficult shape, to the differing color wrapper used at the foot and head, to the flag-cap, it screams special. The aroma is pretty light with just hints of leather and coffee bean.

First Third

The first few draws are tight, which is expected of a figurado, but not hard like some. As I get past the foot, a very nice array of spice comes along, mixed in with the leather. As we get into the meat, so to speak, a savory flavor comes into play, almost salty, in a good way. The finish is slightly sweet but short.

Second Third

The second third begins without too much change, just a slight notch up strength-wise. A little further in, leather starts to take over the profile, with the spices moving to the back. So far, this cigar is well-balanced with a sold flavor profile. This third finished out pleasantly and with longer finish.

Final Third

I have to note that the ash is still hanging on at the beginning of the final third, remarkable. The flavors o this third a very bright with spice and leather. The body is full now. The spices are of cinnamon and clove.

Overall Impressions

This was an excellent cigar. I have never come across a that I didn’t enjoy, but this one was among the best. I could also sense in it great aging potential and I believe time will only bring out more of the spice and coffee bean I detected in pre-light. These will not be around long, and I would advise against hesitation on purchasing some of these, as they will not last long. I remember debating on pulling the trigger on a box of these when they were available years ago, and now regret not buying it even more. Buy a box of these, you will not be sorry.
