"I ended up enjoying this cigar quite a bit which somewhat surprised me after the first third. Once the pepper spice began to recede and the rather generic coffee note was the only prominent flavor remaining, I began to lose interest UNTIL things turned around for the better and some new notes quickly presented themselves. JRE Aladino Habano Vintage Selection Toro – Blind Cigar Review

"I have always said how a cigar look does not translate to how it performs. I have smoked some elegant-looking cigars that just didn't deliver. This one was definitely not a beauty queen, but it was a very good cigar. It kind of started to head in the direction of bitter in the middle, but recovered admirably in the final third, making for a cigar that transitioned and developed very well from start to finish. It was also a relatively slow burner. With the burn and draw on point and the strength never getting overwhelming, this is a cigar I would have zero issues handing to a new smoker, nor would I hesitate to hand one to a seasoned aficionado. "First and foremost, this is a cigar that must be retrohaled to be appreciated. The smoke on the palate is fine but the vanilla essence in the sinuses for the final two third made me want more. I could see this as the perfect way to kill an hour with friends at a BBQ or in conversation. It won't pull all of your attention away from the people and times you're enjoy. ATL Libertad Toro – Blind Cigar Review

"This was not initially a cigar I would pick out to smoke. The ring gauge was great but the length of the cigar was more than I usually like. The cigar proved to be a flavor bomb for me and along with a great appearance provided a very good smoking experience. The first two-thirds were fantastic and even though the last third dropped off a bit more than I would have preferred, I enjoyed the cigar overall. Take a couple of inches off and make this a shorter toro and I’m in over and over again. " -Diana (ArmyRN)

While I was smoking this I had a glass of bourbon which paired nicely. The sweetness from my bourbon and the bitter roasted flavors from the cigar was excellent.
