It uses a Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper, Nicaraguan Habano binder, and Nicaraguan fillers. Overall the Emilio Papa Joe is an extremely pleasant smooth smoke with just enough spice for those who enjoy that in a cigar. Benjamin Holt announced today that he purchased Dissident Cigars and will be releasing the cigars in the very near future. Holt has been in the cigar industry for the last 5 years starting off jobs in retail at TJ’s Cigar Lounge in McGregor, Texas. Most recently, starting in 2015 he began at Black Label Trading Co. as a sales representative.
Boutiques Unified will now be known as Oveja Negra Brands. The company now contains the following brands: Black Label Trading Company, Black Works Studio, Emilio Cigars, and Dissident. Each of the brands has its own identity but shares talent and resources to increase efficiency.
Black Label Trading Company is bringing new artwork and packaging for its core-lines to IPCPR this year. Royalty, Salvation, Lawless and Last Rites will all be shoiwing off new artwork designed by designed by James Brown, creator of BLTC. These core lines have been on the market since 2013. Benediction was originally a core line for the company but is being replaced by Porcelain as a core line cigar.
After a few years hiatus, Emilio Cigars is bringing back reblended AF1 and AF2, now made at James Brown's Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua. This is the first cigar to be produced since the Emilio Cigars and Black Label Trading Company merged back in January. The blends and packaging was done by James Brown owner of BLTC and Fabrica Oveja Negra. Both new cigars will ship this month.
Black Label Trading Company announced today they are shipping Bishops Blend vintage 2019 this month. Bishops Blend is rolled like all other Black Label Trading Co. cigar in Esteli, Nicaragua at James Browns Fabrica Oveja Negra.
As of today, Black Label Trading Company (BLTC) is taking over the branding and marketing of Emilio Cigars. Going forward, all cigar production will move to BLTC’s factory, Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua. A lot of the Emilio lines are already rolled there including Cavatina, LJZ, Papa Joe and Grimalkin. Scott Zucca, owner of Emilio Cigars, will continue to be involved and will distribute cigars for both companies through his distribution company L.J. Zucca Inc.
