"A cigar with some of the classic notes and transitions that mesh well together. Always been a fan of red pepper and coffee notes in cigars, and to end with a mellowed out cinnamon bread, was very rewarding. Cigar News: Foundation Announces Tabernacle David and Goliath

Foundation Cigar Company’s has announced two new sizes in the Tabernacle line: David and Goliath. Tabernacle was Nick Melillio's second traditional premium cigar line, coming the year after El Güegüense. Tabernacle was his first Foundation cigar to use Connecticut broadleaf and out of reverence for the tobacco leaf, and tobacco tradition came the name, from Hebrew scripture: The Tabernacle - which housed the Ark of the Covenant before the building of the Temple of Solomon.

"Really excellent cigar. A bit larger format than I usually reach for, but the super sexy raggedy foot, and the pigtail cap really got my heart racing when I first saw this. Construction was exceptional throughout, and the overall flavor profile was really enjoyable. Nice sweet and super ripe tobacco on point here along with flirtations with some spice, espresso, and pepper along the way. Magnificent cigar. " -John I. (John I.)

Cigar News: Drew Estate Releases Herrera Esteli Connecticut Broadleaf Lancero Nationally

Drew Estate has announced the nationwide launch of its Herrera Esteli Connecticut Broadleaf Lancero. This blend, called Tienda Exclusiva had made appearances previously as a TAA exclusive in 2016 and 2020, but under different vitolas. This same cigar, vitola included, was also a store exclusive for STOGIES World Class Cigar in 2016 as a part of their H-TOWN lancero series. Now, this cigar will be available to all Drew Diplomat retailers. It will be showcased on the upcoming Freestyle Live: Special Edition hosted on facebook.com/drewestatecigar on June 11th from 7:00-9:00pm EST.
