"I was sold from from first puff. Love a good closed foot that gives a quick reveal of the wrapper flavor at first light. This cigar has nice and subtle transitions. It does change, but not much. Thoroughly enjoyable smoke. Maintained a solid finish throughout that left me enjoying the flavors until the next draw. I’d pick this cigar up again." -Randy B. (randobush)
"While I wasn't all that impressed with this cigar at the beginning it really came to life in the second third. Once that happened I was really into the cigar. The transition into the second third came rapidly, and I'm sure my expression and happiness at that time was visible to anyone around. Even thirty minutes after smoking this cigar, the remains were still felt and tasted on my lips, and I was pretty darn close to heaven. This is something I can easily place into my rotation. And man does it burn for a long time." -Isaac M. (The Nothing)
"This cigar had some fantastic flavor to start off. From the looks of this dark wrapper I was expecting some good dark earthy flavors. That is exactly what I was getting. Molasses, spice and wood notes mixed in made this very enjoyable. With that being said, right around the half way point it took a turn in the less enjoyably direction. The cigar was burning hot turning most of the flavor to char. Had to take more time in between puffs to lessen that. Although it eventually subsided the damage I think was done and just mushed all the flavors together to get a mostly musty earth. Not how I would have liked it to end." -Jake P. (Jake P.)
"There are not enough words to say how much I liked this cigar. It was engaging and kept my interest to whole time. I really didn't want to set it down. In my notes I keep saying there was something so familiar about this cigar so I really can't wait to find out what it was. It is box worthy and will for sure find it's way into my daily rotation. Find some, smoke some and enjoy." -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi)
"On a grey, gloomy rainy Northern NY day, the kind that makes Eeyore on downers look like Richard Simmons on meth, I decided to take a break from the doldrums of watching my life pass me by, and throw on some Type O Negative, and light up this cigar known only to me as "1001." A nice looking cigar, brownie tannishy in color, typical of Connecticut wrappers, a pleasant smell of barn and tobacco. On the light up and first third, I got hints of lamb chops, BBQ oysters and diet Coke. Ok, maybe not. Cedar and white pepper were the dominant flavors through to the last third, wherein some leathery hints were thrown in. All in all, a good smoke, great construction, no burn issues, and thank goodness it didn't really taste like BBQ oysters. A good mild to medium smoke to be enjoyed with coffee I think, then again i haven't met a cigar yet that didn't go good with coffee. I wouldn't mind one of these for a good morning coffee, ease into the day, one, perhaps, that isn't doomy and gloomy as this day." -Joseph S. (Bearded Bastard)
"This cigar was really really good. From the initial aromas and cold draw, to the nice burn and finished product, there was not much to not enjoy. The subtle notes of cherry jam that came in during the middle really gave this a complex profile. These are very good well-made cigars and I can only hope I have the opportunity to smoke another one." -Steve (ThaGreatWazoo)
"I think the burn issue at the start really dampened this cigar for me. As much as I tried to look past it, and by the time it settled down the flavors of this cigar were tainted from having to re light and burn the section to get it going. " -Jake P. (Jake P.)
"This to me was just a fantastic smoke. Super rich and chewy all the way to the end. The musty tobacco aroma played nice with the beginning flavors from the cigar. It just felt right in your hand. The roasted flavors mixed with the chocolate and molasses was amazing." -Jake P. (Jake P.)
"First and foremost, this is a cigar that must be retrohaled to be appreciated. The smoke on the palate is fine but the vanilla essence in the sinuses for the final two third made me want more. I could see this as the perfect way to kill an hour with friends at a BBQ or in conversation. It won't pull all of your attention away from the people and times you're enjoy. Hell it might even enhance them. " -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi)
" Where I was unimpressed by the first third of this cigar, it won me over in the end. All the flavors came together to create a wonderful smoking experience. If you are a fan of dark, earthy flavors with hints of sweetness you should pick up a few of these to enjoy. " -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi)
