United Cigars is collaborating with Reinier Lorenzo and HVC Cigars to release a version of their Black Friday cigar in a Firecracker format. The original United Firecracker started back in 2006, with collaborations on limited releases starting in 2010 as part of their Series Unidas line. In the following years, United Cigars partnered with a new company to release a new Firecracker. Sometimes there have been re-releases of older Firecrackers on top of the newer releases such as the Dunbarton Mi Querida Firecracker, which is making its third appearance this year. Earlier this year, United Cigars released the Perdomo Firecracker just before the Fourth of July.

"Overall, this was an okay cigar for me. I’m not sure if I’d reach for a second given the issues I had with the burn, wavy and prone to going out, and draw, a bit tight but not unsmokable. The first third was the best with tasty oak, vanilla, and leather notes; however, it was a downward slope from there as the body & strength kicked up a few times throughout this session. Nelson Alfonso of Selected Tobacco has announced that his Atabey Limited Edition Humidor will finally go on sale at PCA 2023. The item was first shown off at last years PCA show, but the company wasn't ready to take orders on it yet. Each luxury humidor with gold trim and black gloss finish contains sixty Atabey cigars, five of each size in the portfolio. The sizes included are Hechizos 4 x 40, Divinos 4 2/5 x 50, Idolos 4 x 55, Brujos 5 x 52, Sabios 5 1/4 x 52, Delirios 5 3/4 x 55, Duendes 6 1/8 x 54 (Torpedo), Spiritus 7 x 40, Ritos 6 1/8 x 55, Misticos 6 3/4 x 56, Dioses 8 x 50, and Benditos 7 1/4 x 58.
United Cigars has announced the 19th Century Byron Epique Poemas 30 Count Humidor. It is scheduled to begin shipping first week of November. It was first shown off at the 2022 PCA show in Las Vegas and contains 30 cigars inside and a carton of 50 cigars to refill. The cigars have been aged Four Years Post-Roll. The Epique Poemas cigars are part of the 19th Century blend by Nelson Alfonso of Selected Tobacco and feature a dark, oily Ecuadorian wrapper. United Cigars is adding another cigar to their holiday Firecracker collaborations lineup, this time with Rojas Cigars with the for Cinco De Mayo 2023 and the Rojas Elote Firecracker. Elote (E-Lo-Tay) is a famous Mexican dish more commonly known in the United States as Street Corn. A small flavorful snack comprised of grilled corn smothered in sauce, sprinkled cheese, and cilantro.
Vintage is a term that is at times misunderstood and overused. However when Nelson Alfonso of Selected Tobacco releases blends with 5 years of post-roll age decorated by a uniquely designed humidor, the term is fitting. Byron using a unique distinction for their lines. Each line is named after a century, because Nelson tried to capture the true essence of what a great cigar was, or is, in that century. This year’s edition of Byron Humidors are limited to one size in each blend, with only 7,500 cigars rolled for each “century”; the Byron cigar line has a “century” interpretation for any cigar enthusiast.
The MLB lockout may delay the start of the baseball season in 2022, but United Cigars will have something to celebrate no matter what. The Big Papi Firecracker by El Artista will be released on the scheduled MLB Opening Day. Retailers and cigar media will get a preview of the new cigar at the TPE Show this week in Las Vegas, NV. This Special Edition Big Papi Firecracker is a slightly stronger variation of the Slugger line by El Artista.

United Cigars has announced their latest partner for their annual Firecracker cigar, All Saints. Saint Patrick is known as the patron saint of Ireland and the Feast of St. Patrick, also known as St. Patrick’s Day, is held on March 17. The Firecracker line started in 2007 when it was the first cigar on the market with a long piece of tobacco at the head shaped like a ‘wick’ or ‘fuse’ to capture its name; Firecracker. Each year, United Cigars picks a new company to make their take on the size. Firecracker cigars normally celebrate the nation’s Independence Day, but this year, United Cigars extends their holiday collaborations with the St. Patrick’s Firecracker.
