"This was a great little cigar. Nice transitions, and a flavor complexity kind of right in the middle. Not too simple, not overly complex. Burn and draw made for a fun enjoyment factor, and the flavors definitely leave you wanting there to be more to smoke when it is done. Mild-mannered, and no stronger than medium, this would be a good anytime cigar, especially if you are wanting to reach for something with some good flavors and don't have a ton of time to sit and enjoy. " -Kevin A. (Kevin A.)
"This was a great cigar overall. The flavors did not pop, but they were there. retro-hale was very smooth and It was a very easy cigar to smoke. I'd smoke it again over and over again if the price point were right. " -James H. (Keikan Jim)
"This enjoyable cigar featured great construction from start to finish. While there was not a great deal of complexity present, the transitions in both strength and dominant flavors (especially in the second third) were quite enjoyable. While I wish the creaminess had stuck around longer, the bold cedar and mostly consistent spice danced very well together throughout the smoking experience." -Matt Cade (CadeTNCC)
"This cigar wasn’t pretty, it wasn’t complex, and it was rough goings early on with a tight draw that eventually opened up to acceptable levels of airflow. While I wouldn’t seek out this cigar to smoke again, to use a favorite line my hero Larry David, “having said that” I could think of worse ways to spend 52 minutes. " -Matt Cade (CadeTNCC)
"What started out as a phenomenal cigar faded quickly to bitter then harsh. There was such a great sweetness and fruit profile at the beginning I settled in to what I thought was going to be an epic cigar. Instead, the cigar turned dry and earthy with heavy ground coffee and wood notes on the finish. I will be curious to find out what this cigar is and determine if I just got the "one off" from the floor that was just not great, or if this is a common profile of the cigar." -Kevin A. (Kevin A.)
"I would love to smoke this cigar again with an improved draw. The flavor notes were very nice but I dare say I missed out on the full experience due to the tightness. There could’ve been a little more oomph to the notes but it still was a pretty cigar to look at and a decent smoking experience." -Diana (ArmyRN)
"I really enjoyed this cigar, specifically the way it evolved. It was like a meal, starting with a smoky, peppered steak and ending with a warm cinnamon-dusted butter cake. This could easily become a daily smoke for me depending on price point." -Vance T. (Vance)
"I want to smoke another one of these refined, delicious cigars immediately. I’m so curious to see if the flavor profile is consistent amongst other samples because if they are - it is without a singular doubt box-purchase worthy. Seek this excellent cigar out immediately before I buy them all!" -Matt Cade (CadeTNCC)
"Let me start off by referring to my statement about being glad I had a good meal beforehand. This couldn't have been any more true here, as this cigar really builds up and leaves it all on the table. Definitely not a cigar for the faint of heart, but a very rewarding cigar nonetheless. You can't go wrong with notes like charred meats and red pepper, and then coffee and chocolate. I'd have no problem smoking this again, but would save it for a time I could really enjoy its nuances. I paired it with water to ensure I could pick up all the notes, but could easily recommend pairing it with a solid pour of bourbon to really ratchet up the chocolate note. " -Doug S. (Unpossible_1)
"This is an overall very mild cigar featuring an initially spicy retrohale that downshifts quickly (too quickly) into a strictly mineral profile and the draw never delivers any flavors other than cedar and a very mild leather. I disliked the battle with the tight draw but once I, heroically some might say, conquered that obstacle the cigar performed ""just fine"" and delivered ""just fine"" faint flavors from start to finish. Would I smoke it again? Probably not on purpose but perhaps I just got a dud and, if I come across it again at a low price point, I'd almost certainly give it a second chance. Don’t we all deserve a second chance to make a first impression? I know I do and, I’ll admit it, fairly often…" -Matt Cade (CadeTNCC)
