In an unprecedented move for of Geneva, the Swiss company is set to release its first Nicaraguan puro this summer at the annual IPCPR trade show. CEO Hans-Kristian Hoejsgaard sat down with Cigar Insider in New York City for an exclusive interview and disclosed the details surrounding the brand.

The new line features a decade-old Nicaraguan Havana-seed Rosado wrapper around a distinct blend of tobaccos all culled from 's major growing regions.

“We really wanted something that was different for ,” said Hoejsgaard. “This is a major step for us to expand to a new territory. I wanted to develop products that were not necessarily origin specific or rigidly tied down to one specific place. is a brand, not a territory. The challenge was to make sure that if we do a Nicaraguan puro, it has to have the twist of sophistication.”

By “ twist,” Hoejsgaard is referring to pristine wrappers, perfect draw and burn, an overall product consistency and “the ability to smoke it to the very end.”
