E.P. Carrillo Cigars has announced Allegiance for the PCA Trade Show starting this week, and is the first E.P. Carrillo cigar rolled outside of Tabacalera La Alianza. The new cigar will launch in October and is rolled at the Oliva Cigar Co. factory in Nicaragua.
This is an ode to the deep roots we have in the industry, the friendships and the bonds we’ve made over the years, and how this extends to the E.P. Carrillo lines. Oliva Cigars consistently grows excellent tobacco, and our friendship with their team made it an easy choice to partner with them for Allegiance.

The company says this is the first cigar in a series of different concepts of which more will be added to the Allegiance series in the future. It is made to pay tribute to the overall industry. Each cigar in the line will have a unique story while shining a light on the friendships that have grown over the years.
The blend for Allegiance uses a Sumatra wrapper that comes from the area of Quevedo, Ecuador, which is known for being one of the best areas for wrappers in Ecuador. It also uses Nicaraguan binder and fillers and is described as medium-plus in body. There will be four vitolas: Robusto $12.00, Toro $13.10, Double Corona $13.50 and No. 58 $14.00. Each size will have a unique name revealed closer to the release date and come in boxes of 20. Along with this announcement comes the news that all E.P. Carrillo lines will be changing from 10 count boxes to 20 count boxes over the next month.
“There will be 5,000 boxes made for the U.S. and 2,500 boxes shipped internationally this year, and we will continue ordering as needed,” added Lissette Perez-Carrillo.
