Davidoff will host the Seventh Annual Golden Band Awards this year, also hosting a White Party to celebrate 50 years of innovative cigar making. The winners will be announced at an exclusive event on July 15th at Davidoff of Geneva, Las Vegas Cigar Bar. The Golden Band Awards are honoring those Appointed Merchants who best represent the Davidoff standard of excellence.

The Camacho Liberty Series has been a favorite of many Camacho fans for 16 years. In 2018, Camacho will take us back to the beginning with the Camacho Liberty 2005 Throwback. As with the previous Liberty releases from Camacho, this cigar will also coincide with Independence Day to honor the Birth of The United States.
Screpop have introduced the Chopo cigar cutter. It is a successor of the first cutter from this accessory brand, but far improved over the original. Mainly, it has an enlarged eyelet that puts the pivot motion closer to the cutting circle. also, two washers have been added to the mechanism in order to further minimize separation of the cutting blades, and to prevent excessive wear on the mechanism.
Crowned Heads have partnered with Shore Thing Cigars in Watersound Beach, FL for a new store exclusive cigar. The aptly named Shore Thing cigar is a 5 1/4 x 48 cigar made at Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. Paul Copeland and Luke Bryan (yes, the International Country Music superstar) opened Shore Thing Cigars in July of 2016. When they decided to have a namesake cigar made for their shop, they immediately thought of Nashville based Crowned Heads.
Diesel has been a well know presence in cigar shops and from online retailers for a number of years now. Very soon, fans of the brand will have another reason to smile, as Diesel presents Whiskey Row. As with the rest of the Diesel portfolio, they are blended by AJ Fernandez. This cigar was also developed in conjunction with Rabbit Hole Bourbon, a new distillery in the bourbon category. Whiskey Row uses some binder leaves that were aged in bourbon barrels, using a proprietary process developed by AJ to enhance the profile of the cigar.

The Lotus Group, a strong presence in the smoking accessory space for over 20 years, have partnered with Lifestyle Brands, LLC, for a new line of Margaritaville and LandShark cigarware. The Lotus Group will debut pocket, table, waterproof and extendable lighters, as well as cigar cutters and ashtrays that include lyrics from songs by singer, songwriter and best-selling author Jimmy Buffett.
The IGNITE Series from Southern Draw Cigars has recently brought quite a bit of attention to the Texas-based cigar brand. The special vitolas in special packaging have also helped to raise awareness and bring some good attention to Operation Cigars for Warriors. Now, Southern Draw has announced the third release in the series.
Villiger Cigars have opened a new factory in Brazil, Villiger Do Brasil (which translates from Portuguese to “Villiger of Brazil”). Heinrich Villiger was there for the opening of the new facility, marking the next evolution of a long relationship between Villiger Cigars and Brazilian tobacco, dating back to Villiger Cigars’ beginnings in 1888, when Villiger began importing Brazilian tobacco. This later led to establishing a Brazilian Villiger subsidiary, and factory called Charutos Tobajara Limitada. The name is derived from a tobacco growing Indian tribe in the Amazon area
The ACID Petra, a 5 x 54 robusto with a Sumatra wrapper and pigtail cap, was released early in the 2000’s. A medium-bodied cigar offering unique aromas and flavors, including a blend of smoothness and spice.
