Initial Impressions

Appearance: 90
Aroma: 91
Construction: 89

“The cigar looked good with a nice milk chocolate colored wrapper. The wrapper had some tooth and veins that were small and not distracting. In the light the wrapper shines from its oils. This is when I also noticed two creases on opposite sides like it was pressed from both sides. This could have come from the mold or tight storage.” –Will (Dubv23)

“Getting some barnyard scents and notes from this one. I’m detecting some hay and maybe some slight leathery notes.” –Milton (mjohnsoniii)

“Very good construction. Smooth with well blended seams. It was firm but not hard, again, very nice.” –Robert (NavyPiper)

First Third

Flavor: 92
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“To start, this cigar had a nice woody spicy flavor that stuck to the back of my throat. The spice mellowed as it progressed through the first third with some earthy flavor. The ash was a nice light gray with an even burn.” –Craig (WyldKnyght)

“Was welcomed by this stogie with a blast of pepper and spice, enough to sting my sinuses! A good solid smokiness with some spice, a little coffee and oak. The spice and pepper toned down considerably about half way into the third.” –Robert (NavyPiper)

“Upon the initial light, I detected a very familiar taste. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it but I tasted a little pepper taste with cloves mixed in. Not a bad combination at all. The smoke was billowing right out the gate and it had a nice, firm white ash. Good cigar so far.”  –Milton (mjohnsoniii)

Second Third

Flavor: 91

Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“During the second third, the spice mellowed and almost disappeared altogether. Lots of earthy, woody flavor with a hint of pencil lead that coated my mouth. This mix of flavors was quite enjoyable. I was able to stop the wrapper from splitting by moving the band down lower. There was some nice light wispy smoke.” –Craig (WyldKnyght)

“Same as the first third with spice in the background but mostly a sweet, nutty, mild-medium creaminess.” –Ian (Sp@rky426)

Final Third

Flavor: 91
Strength: Medium-Strong
Body/Complexity: Medium

“The final third continued to mellow out. The earthy, woody flavors continued right through until the end. More graphite flavor during the last third with hints of pepper.” –Craig (WyldKnyght)

“Didn’t really experience any changes in this third from the second….” –Robert (NavyPiper)

Overall Impressions

Draw: 93
Burn: 93

“A good resistance that didn’t allow the cigar to burn too hot but still produce an even burn and decent smoke output.” –Will (Dubv23)

“Razor sharp all the way through. Nice flaky white ash that held for almost an inch at a time.” –Ian (Sp@rky426)

Overall Strength: Medium
Overall Body: Medium
Overall Experience: 89

“Other than the wrapper splitting at the beginning, this cigar was very good.” –Craig (WyldKnyght)

“From initial lighting to the very end, I really enjoyed this cigar. No complaints that I can recall. I’m curious what this turns out to be, as I’d definitely like to have some resting in the humidor!” –Robert (NavyPiper)

“I need more of these, bottom line. If you are a fan of smooth creamy smoking Cubans with plenty of smoke and flavor, this is box worthy.” –Ian (Sp@rky426)
