Initial Impressions

Appearance: 89

“This is a good looking . The wrapper is a medium-dark brown and the seams and veins are minimal.” – (BMP_)

Aroma: 93

“Very nice aroma coming off of this cigar immediately. The initial hint I got was a really nice dark coffee bean with a slight hint of chocalate. Just delicious. The aromas had me excited to get under way.” – (ThaGreatWazoo)

First Third

Blind Cigar Review: Fetiche | Premium Robusto

Blind Cigar Review: |

Flavor: 91
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“Right off the bat, there is a strong black tea and oily pepper that last throughout the first third. The cigar has a good smoke output and produces that dry mouth feel that a nice glass of red wine delivers. There is a slight mineral flavor on the retrohale but it is not overpowering the other flavors.” – (Eulogy)

“I would put the strength of this cigar and complexity in the medium range to begin with. The first third notes were amazing. A really crisp coffee and cocoa flavor profile with just a really clean finish. The retrohale has a nice bit of heavy chocolate and just the slightest hint of salt and pepper. Amazing start to the cigar.” – (ThaGreatWazoo)

Second Third

Blind Cigar Review: Fetiche | Premium Robusto

Blind Cigar Review: |

Flavor: 91
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“As I continue into the second third, the pepper has died down almost completely. I can still pick up the semi-sweet chocolate and heavy cream, but I am also picking up a bit of earthiness.” – (ExpendableYouth)

“The burn has evened out which is a good sign of things to come. The flavors are pretty similar to the first third so far, mostly leather and wood. The spice has died down a little bit now and allowed the wood to shine. Towards the end of the third, a nutty, walnut taste joins.” – (BMP_)

Final Third

Blind Cigar Review: Fetiche | Premium Robusto

Blind Cigar Review: |

Flavor: 89
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“As this cigar progressed into the final third, the nutty and wood flavors continued and melded together. The was some smoke, not as much as I would like though.” – (WyldKnyght)

“The final third ends and no real heat or harshness picked up at all. The chocolate subsided slightly and a nice leather hint bounced off of the espresso bean flavor very nicely. The biggest downside is that the cigar is gone.” – (ThaGreatWazoo)

Overall Impressions

Draw: 91

“The cigar had a really nice draw throughout the entire smoke.” – (ExpendableYouth)

Burn: 93

“There was a slight waviness throughout the smoking experience but it didn’t require any touch ups or relights.” – (Eulogy)

Construction: 89

“This cigar was fairly firm, which tells me it was packed well. The burn and draw were great and very good respectively. I do believe this was a quality cigar.” – (WyldKnyght)

Overall Strength: Medium
Overall Body/Complexity: Medium
Overall Experience: 89

“The second third was the best in the smoke, and isn’t worth the beginning or end in my opinion. An easy pass for me.” – (ExpendableYouth)

“This was a nice average cigar. It smoked well, had a decent flavor profile and was well constructed, but it was just an average cigar. Nothing to set the world on fire, but not one that I would turn down if offered.” – (Eulogy)

“I really enjoyed the flavor profile of this cigar. The initial smell was intoxicating as well. I can’t wait to find out what this cigar was.” – (WyldKnyght)

“I’m going to give this cigar a really good rating. The overall flavor coupled with the nice retrohale and clean finish made for a great overall smoke. I can’t wait to find out what these are because they are worth the purchase. All in all, one of the best blind reviews I’ve done so far. That’s how good the flavor profile was.” – (ThaGreatWazoo)

“I did enjoy this cigar, but it didn’t blow me away. Maybe if the draw had been better it would have opened up some more flavors. I would definitely try this again, and maybe buy a fiver to see how it varies. I’m interested to see what it is and how the others rate it.” – (BMP_)
