Initial Impressions
Appearance: 94
“Nice smooth brown wrapper in a box pressed perfecto shape you rarely see in many cigars. Three or four blemishes on the wrapper take away but overall a gorgeous wrapper. ” –John A. (John A.)
Aroma: 90
“On the nose, notes of sweet fruity leather are ever present while flavors of strawberry jam flood the tongue. Can’t wait to see where this goes. ” –John A. (John A.)
First Third
Flavor: 91
Strength: Medium-Strong
Body/Complexity: Medium
“Starts out with a good spice that calms rather quickly. Produces huge amounts of smoke. Definately very creamy with a black licorice finish. Very nice cigar ” –Ryan H. (Ryan H.)
“The first flavors of this sample are mostly plain tobacco with a hint of sweet baking spice. Through the nose the smoke is surprisingly spicy causing me to retrohale every few puffs instead of every puff like normal.” –Jason H. (Jokey Smurf)
Second Third
Flavor: 92
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium
“The second portion of this cigar has developed a salted caramel note with leather on the back end. The baking spice has faded but the remaining flavors are quite nice. Through the nose the pepper has lessened and the smoke is much more enjoyable.” –Jason H. (Jokey Smurf)
“Lots of leather starting in the second, and maybe a hint of cream to balance it out. Got a bit of tar in the 2nd third and had to cut more off. ” –Mickey T. (irratebass)
Final Third
Flavor: 92
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium
“The final 1/3 is where this cigar shines for me. A good amount of spice in body and retrohale has entered in and mixing well with the cream. Cedar and cream seem to dominate the profile. I’m really enjoying this cigar now. ” –David F. (dfafjf)
“Still mostly cream with a woody and sometimes spicy finish. Would pair wonderfully with coffee” –Ryan H. (Ryan H.)
Overall Impressions
Draw: 96
“Perfectos can sometimes have some construction issues but this cigar was perfect. ” –David F. (dfafjf)
Burn: 93
“Nearly razor sharp burn in this sample even with a fair breeze… I’m quite happy with the burn performance.” –Jason H. (Jokey Smurf)
Construction: 96
“Great contrustion, except for the tar, but is that really a construction flaw?” –Mickey T. (irratebass)
Overall Strength: Medium-Strong
Overall Body/Complexity: Medium
Experience Overall: 93
“This was real joy to smoke. I wouldn’t have minded a bit more flavor variety but that’s just shooting for the moon… The flavors that were present were delightful and kept me puffing! This one is purchase worthy for sure.” –Jason H. (Jokey Smurf)
“This cigar was truly fantastic at the final 1/3. Cream, spice, leather, woods all mixed in well to close out this cigar. Sadly this is where I wish the cigar would have been throughout most of the smoke. It takes awhile for the cigar to build up into a fantastic smoke but having reached the end I was nubbing and enjoying every last puff. ” –David F. (dfafjf)
“This was a nice medium to full strength cigar. There was plenty of wood, leather, some cream and sweetness. Not sure I should’ve smoked this so late in the night, but I do what I do. ” –Mickey T. (irratebass)
“Was a very enjoyable cigar. ” –Ryan H. (Ryan H.)
“Loved the shape, draw, and construction but this blend would not jive with my pallet. It started off alright but just got worse and worse as time went on… and those weird circle blemishes on the wrapper? QA? This one just wasn’t for me…” –John A. (John A.)
