I must admit, when I approached the home rollers on the BOTL web forum about a friendly contest, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I learned that coordinating a series of this type is a big logistical challenge for which I was unprepared. In the end, it was a good experience for me. I hope it was also a good experience for those who participated, and especially our readers.Read More
“This was real joy to smoke. I wouldn’t have minded a bit more flavor variety but that’s just shooting for the moon… The flavors that were present were delightful and kept me puffing! This one is purchase worthy for sure.” -Jason H. (Jokey Smurf)Read More
“This was a really nice cigar. Definitely a fist cigar of the day while sitting out on your deck with your morning coffee as the sun rises up.
There was plenty of walnut flavors and just a touch of spice and black pepper. I would say this was a mild to medium plus cigar, and there was just enough sweetness that kept popping up and wasn’t in your face. ” -Mickey T. (irratebass)Read More
“I really enjoyed this cigar. So much sweet cream throughout with a great progression of spice building up. I was impressed by the appearance and smell even before lighting this cigar and it delivered a wonderful and relaxing experience. Would strongly recommend if the price allows. ” -David F. “This was overall a pleasant medium bodied smoke with a few transitions throughout. The profile was limited to a few flavors which I had hoped that it would be more diverse. Overall a good smoke to enjoy and relax with. ” -John A. (John A.)Read More
“I was very surprised by this stick. After the light aromas on the prelight, the cigar was full of great flavors. It was very cubanesque from the look and vitola to the flavor. I would love to smoke this in the morning with a cup of coffee. The stick had a couple of faults but was easy to overlook because the flavor was so good. I even nubbed this thing all the way down.” -Matt (Mattehh)Read More
“This was a nice mild to medium smoke, which only got into the straight medium in the final third. The cigar was very smooth with a small sweetness that held my attention that resembled marshmallow. I highly recommend this cigar as you first smoke of the day with morning coffee. I would like to smoke more of these.” -Mickey T. (irratebass)Read More
“This was a nice way to start my cigar smoking day. The flavor changes were interesting but never over powering and enjoyable. I’d recommend this to any smoker to start their day.” -Jason H. (Jokey Smurf)Read More
“This cigar was mediocre in my opinion. There was not much complexity. Smooth notes of spice and hay were the cornerstones, but the char crept in and took over through the second and final third of the cigar. A little age might do this cigar some good, so do not give up entirely on this stick. It might grow into something very good.” -Steve (ThaGreatWazoo)Read More
“This was a thoroughly enjoyable stick with its strong points being the first two thirds. Whoever blended this cigar meant to create something special with a very flavorful mix of tobaccos that pleased my pallete immensely. I can only hope the price point on this stick is reasonable so I can stock up!” -John A. (John A.)Read More
“This was a really nice cigar from start to finish. Normally I’m the guy who wants the full strength and full bodied cigar that smacks me full in the face. On occasion, however, I find a cigar that reminds me of the lighter side of things and just how enjoyable that can be… This was one of those cigars. A nice mix of flavor coupled with superb construction really made my day… It definitely is getting my stamp of approval.” -Jason H. (Jokey Smurf)Read More
