Cigar News: New Director of Operations for Fratello Cigars

Fratello Cigars entered the market back in 2013. Since Omar de Frias started the brand, they have grown to a presence in more than 800 brick and mortar shops in the United States. They also are being sold in 9 international locations. The company announced today the hiring of Shannon Strang as the new Director of Operations for Fratello Cigars. Ms. Strang is a native of Pittsburgh, and she comes to Fratello with much experience in accounting, business development, logistics and customer service.

Cigar News: Distribution Agreement for Fratello Cigars

Fratello Cigars recently announced their new distribution partner for Germany, Klaus Kleinlagel. Kleinlagel has been in the cigar industry since 1916 and they are based in Bruchsal Germany. Fratello Cigars already have distribution in the Netherlands, Dominican Republic, Thailand, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Switzerland. This new partnership opens doors to expand the international growth of the Fratello Cigars brand.

Cigar News: Two Guys Smoke Shop Announces Fratello Firecracker

Press Release - In 2006, David Garofalo, the owner and founder of Two Guys Smoke Shop came up with an idea some called “loco,” Spanish for crazy. The FIRECRACKER, a short format cigar with a head that resembled a fuse. Its first release was in 2007 and manufactured by Don Pepin Garcia at the El Rey de los Habanos Factory in Miami Florida USA. Later the next version was made again by Pepin Garcia but this time in Nicaragua at Tabacalera Cubana. Next came a version called the M80 also done at Tabacalera Cubana and a second version done at the My Father Cigar Factory.

Springfield, VA (July 12, 2016) – Omar de Frias is proud to announce his third blend after Fratello was introduced in 2013 and Fratello Bianco in 2015. Fratello Oro is the company’s first time working with an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper. “We wanted a mild to medium cigar with a creamy after taste but that it also embodies the true nature of our company which is full flavor cigars.” Said de Frias.

“The beginning was very nice and enjoyable. The predominant flavors were wood and nuts. There were hints of sweet cherry wood and some earthy tones. The flavors remained nicely balanced up unto about the final third. At this point it became bitter and sour. I consider this one an old fashioned cigar. I think it would pair nicely with a scotch or spiced rum.” –Eric (smalls29)

Blind Cigar Review: Fratello | Boxer

"Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this cigar. Performance and construction were great and the smoking experience was most enjoyable. Although not overly complex in the tasting department, the flavors I experienced were very enjoyable and tastes my palate could easily relate too. I would certainly not be ashamed to pass this stick out to guest and experienced aficionados who I smoke with on a regular basis.
