"This is a cigar I would definitely enjoy first thing in the morning with some light roasted coffee. There were enough changes to keep me interested and to keep me guessing about what would come next. One of the better mild cigars I've had this year. "This was a very enjoyable and well-balanced dark noted smoke. With fairly constant subtle shifts it kept my interest level pretty high. I would put this in my box-worthy category. "Overall this was an enjoyable cigar. It makes me wonder if the draw was on point, how much better it may have been, The chocolate notes in the prelight, that didn't appear until later in the cigar would have made this cigar a star from start to finish. I will be interested to see what it is and see if it comes in a smaller size, as I typically do not have the 2+ hours of time required to smoke this monster. Dapper La Madrina Shade Toro – Blind Cigar Review

"For a Connecticut shade cigar, this was fairly enjoyable. There weren't any flavor transitions to speak of but the salted nuts and butter worked well together. Very mild in strength but it would make a good morning cigar or a cigar to start your day with. Coffee might overpower the flavors in this but I can see it being enjoyed with a milder coffee or chai tea. It didn't wow me but my palate tends to enjoy the darker stronger cigars." -Kevin J. "This was a good cigar. There were several flavor elements, and the retro kept changing on me starting with peanut butter and ending with floral. There was black pepper, sweet caramel as well as nuttiness flavors throughout. This is a perfect morning cigar that I would like to pair with coffee. I would definitely pick up a fiver. "Overall, this was a solid smoking cigar with a good medium bodied and strength-based profile. Constructions, draw, and burn performed fairly well as this smoke required a little more babysitting on the burn then most cigars do. Wonderful creamy notes took mainstage alongside leather, pepper, and nutty notes played smaller parts. This cigar is an easy recommendation or something that won’t blow your head off with big flavors, but not light enough to potentially bore you. "Overall, this was a nice shorter smoke that provided a nice bouquet of medium-bodied flavors that included leather, black pepper, earth, grassy and spicy lingering notes that showed up in some larger or minor form or another as the cigar progressed. Construction proved to be very good as the burn and draw were not much of an issue at all.
