·"Great good stuff here. I wanted a bit more power early on, and it finally delivered in the finale. Super chocolaty in the early going, developing to a nice rich espresso finish at the end. If there was any problem here it's that it was maybe just a little too polite to start. I'd still be happy to smoke a ton more. " -John I. (John I.)
Meet JOYA RED, a new and exciting side of JDN. Some might even call it unexpected. Developed for the modern smoker by the youngest executive team in the industry, together with the most senior Master Blenders of Nicaragua. Juan Ignacio Martínez (31), President of JDN since 2013, led a team of contemporary executives and experienced Master Blenders such as Leonel Raudez (62), JDN’s Factory Manager since 1992, to create this beautiful new blend. The result? A vibrant smoke you will enjoy anytime, anywhere; classy, as always, but also a lot more fun.

·Overall, this was an enjoyable cigar. Usually I don’t smoke milder sticks since they have a tendency to go sour halfway through, however this stick held its ground and provided ample amounts of body with enjoyable flavors! Definitely try out the Joya No. 1 before you count it out because of a Connecticut wrapper.
Joya De Nicaragua has announced the Antaño Gran Reserva GT20, a special version of its Antaño Gran Reserva line. For the first time, Cigar Dojo and Joya de Nicaragua are collaborating on a cigar: Joya Ninjaragua. The blend has been in the works for over two years, making it the longest project Cigar Dojo has worked on before releasing. The first test blends were given out at a Cigar Dojo-led Drew Estate Cigar Safari, where a group of roughly 15 Dojo members (including myself) were given three test blends. Those members then provided feedback and the most popular blend was then tweaked several more times until the final blend took shape.
The Joya de Nicaragua Número Uno was originally only given out to world leaders by Nicaraguan ambassadors on official missions. ·"Wow, this is world class stick. Never have I had such a well balanced, nuanced, medium bodied smoke. The three transitions provided a ménage à trois of deliciousness that would satisfy any hardened and seasoned cigar smoker. I am floored by the quality of this cigar. BOX WORTHY. " -John A. (Bostoneo)
