Joya de Nicaragua released the Cinco Décadas line two years ago to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Last year it added the Fundador vitola and now this year it is adding El Doctor, a 6 x 52 torpedo.

Drew Estate has announced the nationwide launch of its Herrera Esteli Connecticut Broadleaf Lancero. This blend, called Tienda Exclusiva had made appearances previously as a TAA exclusive in 2016 and 2020, but under different vitolas. This same cigar, vitola included, was also a store exclusive for STOGIES World Class Cigar in 2016 as a part of their H-TOWN lancero series. Now, this cigar will be available to all Drew Diplomat retailers. Protocol Cigars today announced their second cigar in the Protocol John Doe Series: John Doe 2.0. The name comes from how law enforcement refers to unidentified males until identification can be made. The new cigar will come in bundles of 10 that will sell for $92.50.

Dr. Alejandro Martínez Cuenca, Chairman of Joya de Nicaragua, has been a fan of the game Shut the Box since 2012. He learned of the game at a cigar shop, Havana Mix Shop in Memphis, TN, and was challenged to a game. Cuenca has a PhD in Economics and has always been fascinated with numbers and games with numbers.
