Last years collaboration between Cigar Dojo and Aganorsa Leaf, Bonsai, has a pre-release during the Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival festivities. It launched nationwide shortly after through online retailer Payless Cigars & Pipes, which is run by Smoker Friendly, the same company that runs the festival. This was one of Cigar Dojo’s most successful and fastest-selling collaborations to date. Now, Bonsai is returning to Smoker Friendly, and their online store paylesscigarsandpipes.com as a limited, but ongoing release.
Originally, there were only 350 bundles of 10 created. Now, they have decided to bring it back in the original size and blend exclusively through Smoker Friendly and their online presence paylesscigarsandpipes.com. It will also be sold a brick and mortar stores for the first time in their locations throughout Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Missouri, and Florida.
Bonsai its name and artwork from the Japanese art form of small tree cultivation. This technique of replicating landscapes in miniature form goes back over 1,000 years. Bonsai also features a smaller size than most cigars in a petit robusto measuring 4″ x 50. This allows price to stay low and enjoy a whole cigar experience in a short time.
There are subtle differences to set this release apart from the original including the sticker on the bundle which is now red-on-black instead of the original white on red. The cigar bands are also no a little different and a bit more textured. The price will stay the same at $55 per bundle of 10.
