Exactly one year ago today, Cigar Dojo and Room101 Cigars announced their first collaboration: (aka Noodles). Now, the two companies re-releasing their cigar (2019).
When the project was first announced last year, it was hinted by Room101 owner, Matt Booth and Cigar Dojo owner, Eric Guttormson, that this would be the first in a series between the two companies. The concept started as a joke on an episode of Smoke Night Live and evolved into now two cigars.
(2019) was rolled at the same time as the 2018 release, and comes in the same vitola and blend. The only difference between the two cigars is the age at the time being sold. The blend uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, Sumatra binder, and Criollo ’98, Corojo ’99, and HVA Cuban-seed fillers. There is however a difference in the packaging and bands. They both received a change, specifically the removal of Matt Booths head… and this time around, each bundle will ship with a special challenge coin, containing the missing head. 500 bundles/coins were made.
“I’m pumped for the second helping on this project with The Dojonites,” noted Matt Booth. “It is a celebration of friendship, community, and an undying and insatiable lust for both cigars and fine ramen.”
Eric Guttormson, owner of Cigar Dojo, commented, “The Mexican San Andrés wrapper and Sumatran binder are the components that make this such a great-tasting cigar. Best of all, this is one of those cigars that seems to get better with age.”
This years release will be sold in the same way as last time, at online retailer JR Cigar. The bundles of 10 will cost $99.95, but Dojo members receive a 10% discount.
