Today, Crux Cigars began shipping it's latest release: Crux Epicure Maduro. This is an extension of 2016's Epicure which used a Connecticut shade wrapper, now replaced with a Mexican San Andres Maduro. Last year Crux announced the Epicure Galant, which on paper is the same blend as this cigar. Since then, the name and factory have been changed. The cigar is now called Epicure Maduro and is made at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua S.A. This is the first Crux to be rolled outside Plasencia Cigars S.A.
Earlier this year, Crux Cigars announced a total rebrand for their company including new logos, boxes and bands for all their cigars. Crux showed these off at the IPCPR 2019 trade show in Las Vegas. The first phase of this rebrand includes Epicure, Epicure Maduro, and Guild blends in all their viotlas. This first phase is the portion shipping now. Phase 2 will include Limitada and the Bull & Bear and will take place later in the year.
Crux Cigars is shipping their Limitada Gunner this week. This is their second line extension of the Limitada series, with the Redline being the first that shipped this year. Gunner was originally shown off at the IPCPR show in 2018.

Crux Cigars is adding a new size to their number one selling Epicure line: Crux Epicure Gordo. The new size is a 6x60. The Epicure line was introduced in 2017 at IPCPR and uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and fillers.
Crux Cigars rebranded all of their cigar packaging a couple years ago and started with their core lines. The brands that did not get immediately refreshed were put on hold. Now, that refresh is finally coming to the Du Connoisseur line.
