Davidoff JR 50th Anniversary – Blind Cigar Review

"What started out as a phenomenal cigar faded quickly to bitter then harsh. There was such a great sweetness and fruit profile at the beginning I settled in to what I thought was going to be an epic cigar. Instead, the cigar turned dry and earthy with heavy ground coffee and wood notes on the finish. I will be curious to find out what this cigar is and determine if I just got the "one off" from the floor that was just not great, or if this is a common profile of the cigar." -Kevin A. (Kevin A.)

CAO Session Garage – Blind Cigar Review

"The flavors in the cigar were very muted and hard to pull out. The strength was very well-mannered, but the cigar never really developed into anything stellar. It was an enjoyable experience, just not a memorable one. I wouldn't hesitate to hand this cigar to less experienced smokers, as there is nothing in it that would discourage it. Protocol Pool Party Year 2 – Blind Cigar Review

"This was likely the most challenging overall rating I've had to give since joining the team. The middle third was simply one of the best 30 minutes of cigar I've smoked this year. The unique, potent, balanced flavors were playing in perfect harmony and every puff somehow seemed to improve upon its predecessor. Unfortunately the first and final third underwhelmed. They certainly weren't bad, just subtle to the point of unnoticeable. So, would I smoke this again? 100% yes. In fact I'm dying to know: was the middle third an anomaly? Was the burn line issue a one-off? If there's even the slimmest chance I could experience, for a full 90 minutes, what I experienced at the halfway transition mark, I'd dedicate an entire shelf in my cabinet to these beauties." -Vance T. "This was a great little cigar. Nice transitions, and a flavor complexity kind of right in the middle. Not too simple, not overly complex. Burn and draw made for a fun enjoyment factor, and the flavors definitely leave you wanting there to be more to smoke when it is done. Mild-mannered, and no stronger than medium, this would be a good anytime cigar, especially if you are wanting to reach for something with some good flavors and don't have a ton of time to sit and enjoy. "What started out as a good cigar ended poorly. Enjoyed the variety of notes that came through. Towards the end, the wrapper split and unraveled. Draw became hard and the cigar became spongy.
