Initial Impressions

Appearance: 90

“This features a nice looking light brown wrapper with barely notable veins.” – (bigslowrock)

Aroma: 94

“This cigar has a very nice intoxicating honey smell to it.” – (WyldKnyght)

First Third

Flavor: 91
Strength: Mild-Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“A creamy leather taste at the start followed by a hint of coffee and light toast on a base of cedar. Decent smoke production, although the ash dropped around the 1/2 inch mark.” –Gregg (McGreggor57)

“This cigar starts off great with a real nice sweet creaminess. There is a nice subtle leather, pepper and earthiness in the background to add some nice complexity. There is also a nice spice that I’m having trouble pin pointing right now.” – (bigslowrock)

Second Third

Flavor: 91
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“The flavors are becoming more vegetal. Dried grasses are making this third a bit brighter accentuating the muted cedar. Some spice is showing on the retrohale. An interesting sweetness is making an appearance, somewhat akin to sweet corn or the sweet note of hay.” –Gregg (McGreggor57)

“The chalkiness dissipates and leaves a dominant woody cedar profile. There is a light pepper spice present but it’s faint and accompanies the cedar well. The flavor is smooth on every puff.” –Will (Dubv23)

Final Third

Flavor: 92
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“Mellow and smooth flavor, started to get some mild hay, but mostly tobacco and smoky flavors continued from the second third. Mellow and smooth.” – (WyldKnyght)

“The wood is picking up in strength as the cigar progresses. My personal preference is that the spice picks up in this manor but the wood tends the be the dominant flavor showing the most character. The spice is still present bit still faint and playing a secondary role to the woody profile. This stays consistent through the retrohale as well.” –Will (Dubv23)

Overall Impressions

Draw: 91

“Very good consistent draw from start to finish.” –Gregg (McGreggor57)

Burn: 92

“Great burn on this cigar. No touch ups or re-lights. Almost razor sharp burn. Good smoke production.” – (bigslowrock)

Construction: 89

“Great construction. Very good ash retention. Evenly filled. No construction issues during the smoke.” – (bigslowrock)

Overall Strength: Medium
Overall Body/Complexity: Medium
Overall Experience: 90

“I found this a very enjoyable smoke. Nice flavors that were balanced yet had a nice complexity. Depending on the price and age of this cigar, I could see it being put on my list for a box purchase in the future.” – (bigslowrock)

“Overall a good cigar, but very one dimensional. Not something I would probably hunt down or smoke again.” – (WyldKnyght)

“This was a good cigar. The sweetness that popped up was a welcome interest. The flavors were pretty mild throughout, although they developed a bit toward the finish. There was some spice that showed up from time to time but was never a major player. It’s a shame the cigar turned harsh at the end.” –Gregg (McGreggor57)

“I thought this cigar performed very well and showed some simple but enjoyable flavors. The body grew stronger as it progressed but never really passed the medium threshold. This is a cigar I would like to try in its various vitolas and enjoy first thing in the morning to start my day.” –Will (Dubv23)
