Cigar Dojo has another exclusive collaboration this year, this time with one of the largest cigar makers in the world, Davidoff.
The first Limited Edition Fine & Rate was released seven years ago. Alan Rubin wanted to make "the most complex cigar the world has ever seen." The goal was to use 10 different tobaccos in the same blend and has become an annual release. This years' is the Fine & Rare JRS10 = (86), a 6 ½” X 56 Ring Gauge Parejo, which is actually the second time this blend has been released, it was also the 2015 release.

Rocky Patel Premium Cigars (RPPC) has announced a new vitola to its Hamlet 25th Year line, a Salomon size. The new vitola was shown off at this summer’s IPCPR trade show and will be shipping late October. Like the rest of the line, it was created by Cuban cigar blender and master roller, Hamlet Paredes.
IPCPR has launched a new grassroots website, cigaraction.org. This site is a resource for retailers and consumers to get involved with public policy issues that affect premium cigars. This launch coincides with their first grassroots campaign urging Congress to support a premium cigar exemption provision in the annual spending bill. Over time, this site will serve as the center of IPCPR’s grassroots effort with the cigar community for multiple federal and state initiatives.
Drew Estate announced today that the Florida Sun Grown FSG Limited Edition Trunk Press Toro was shipping to Drew Diplomat. The blend of this edition is different from the regular line of FSG cigars using a Connecticut River Valley Broadleaf wrapper, Mexican binder, with one full leaf of Florida Sun Grown Cuban Seed Corojo, along with fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras. The regular line uses a Brazilan Arapiraca Maduro wrapper Honduran Habano binder, and Florida Sun Grown & Nicaragua filler.
Cigars International has just opened a Super Store in the suburbs of Dallas-Fort Worth. This makes Cigars International’s fourth retail store and the first outside of Pennsylvania. The store was built in just six months and is located in a mixed-use development called Grandscape in The Colony.
Tobacco distributor Plasencia 1865 has promoted José Luis Plasencia to Vice President. Based out of the Miami, Florida headquarters José Luis Plasencia will supervise the company's distribution process and business operations as well as sales support. Plasencia 1865 is the distribution company designed to import and distribute all of the Plasencia Cigars product lines.
Today, Davidoff Cigars announced a new limited edition cigar for the US, 'Florida Selection 2018'. The cigar combines tobaccos from Florida with tobaccos from Ecuador, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic.
