CAO have announced a new limited edition release that will be a part of the brand’s virtual tour of the Pan American Highway. The new limited release is called Zócalo, also the name of a city square in Mexico, this is first CAO cigar made with tobacco from Mexico.
"The blend's flavor was perfect for my palate. It began with a deep musk, then transitioned into a delicious smoky honey glaze flavor before returning to a slightly edgier musk at the end. The cigar smoked great, with only minor burn issues in the second half, and I enjoyed it so much that I smoked it down to the nub. I'm excited to discover what this blend is so I can purchase some." -Lauren S. (Lauren S.)
"The plethora of woodsy notes in this cigar with the addition of the pronounced mineral component reminded me of several Cuban maduros that I’ve smoked over the years. It’s an enjoyable smoking experience, I especially appreciated the spike in strength in the final third which kept the finale from being boring. I hate boring cigars and this one passed the boring test." -Matt Cade (CadeTNCC)
"A great cigar for those that like coffee. Impeccable construction with a nice even burn and mellow smoke throughout the experience. The initial sweetness prepares the palate to accept the bitterness that coffee brings." -Jai P. (Jai)
Black Works Studio (BLK WKS) announced a new cigar this morning: Hyena. This is a Limited Edition Cigar using a Cameroon wrapper and rolled in Esteli, Nicaragua at Fabrica Oveja Negra.
The original CAO Vision was released in 2007 and was discontinued some years later. That cigar was best know for its packing with a bright white box and illuminated interior. Both of those things are returning for 2020, but with a brand new blend.
"This little perfecto was a flavor bomb from start to finish. There were clear transitions in each third. It should be easily approachable for every cigar smoke and could become someone’s everyday cigar. This might be the best cigar I smoked this year. It will for sure find a home on my top cigar of the year list. I highly recommend you seek this cigar out." -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi)
"Another great cigar that was a pleasure to smoke. Notes of sweet and bitter tea, honey, and burnt toast. Nice strong ash that hangs on for an inch or two. A cigar I'd want to have in my humidor and to share with friends. A nice after breakfast smoke." -Sean F. (fullermaine)
"Overall, this was a solid straight-shooter flavor-wise. Comprised of mostly leather, brown sugar, white & black pepper with some wood notes, this cigar meandered from medium to full body while it burned down. While it didn’t absolutely thrill me, it was an okay cigar that is sure to please somebody!" -John A. (Bostoneo)
