Reinado C29 – Blind Cigar Review

"At first puff, I was certain my experience with this smoke was going to be lackluster and in line with what I get from most Connecticuts. Connecticuts have their time and place. There is certainly a handful that has knocked my socks off, but for a guy who generally reaches for something more full-bodied they are generally the exception and not the rule. I am pleased to say that I was wrong about this stick! What started off as one-dimensional and harsh, subtly transitioned into a smooth and dynamically flavorful cigar. The final third is unequivocally where this stick shined with a rich and meaty flavor that left my mouth watering. Had the first two-thirds echoed the last, it would certainly be a favorite of mine amongst lighter-bodied cigars. "From the time I snatched it from my humidor to the time I laid it to rest in the ashtray my experience with this stick was splendid! Each and every puff was robust with rich and pleasant flavors that were well blended, well rounded, and well balanced. There were no noticeable transitions that took place, but with such incredible flavors that harmonized so well together I wasn't upset by that fact and my palate was plenty entertained throughout. Most notably, this cigar was incredibly smooth from start to finish and the smoke output was simply impressive. This stick would be a great pairing with any number of beverages including a morning cup of coffee, a rich stout, a glass of bourbon, or even a nice red wine. "With the single exception of the first few puffs being ever so slightly harsh, I haven't a negative remark to make about this cigar as it truly blew me away in just about every regard. Not only were the flavors incredibly robust, the mix was well-balanced and was suited almost perfectly for my palate. A perfect draw, flawless burn, and impeccable construction checked off the remaining boxes for me which rounded out an immensely enjoyable smoking experience from start to finish. I imagine this cigar would pair well with just about anything which is also a high mark in and of itself. Assuming the price point isn't outrageous, this stick has already landed in my regular rotation. "Overall, this was an enjoyable cigar with very mild flavors, it remained medium bodied and light throughout the experience. The smoke started off fairly creamy and dried out throughout the cigar but never to a point of dislike. I would definitely recommend this to individuals with a lighter palette and would consider smoking again for sure. Rocky Patel Sixty Toro – Blind Cigar Review

"Very spicy cigar from beginning to end. The only exception was on the cold draw, which has sweet tea notes. The spicy notes include notes of cinnamon, jalapeno, and black pepper, and licorice. Veiny construction and hard spots that don't hinder the pleasure. Good draw and burn. Very strong grey-white ash that hangs on for half of the cigar. E.P. Carrillo Allegiance Confidant – Blind Cigar Review

"With a gambit of robust flavors that complimented one another exceptionally as well as a smoke that was creamy, smooth and mouthwatering, the first two thirds is certainly where this cigar shined! Even though the smoke remained incredibly smooth, the flavors flatlined entering the final third which made for a lackluster ending to an otherwise great cigar. Had the pleasant mix of flavors been consistent from start to finish my remarks would certainly have been a bit higher. I have a feeling that a loose roll is the most likely culprit for the sudden downturn as the temperature of the smoke quickly rose and the flavors almost immediately became acrid. I'd gladly give this smoke another shot as I'm sure the loose roll is just a fluke." -Noah S. (Noah)

The silky smooth texture and cool temperature allowed me to take this all the way down to a nub. "WOW is all that comes to mind!!! I have a handful of cigars that I consider to be my favorites. All of which check off all the boxes, all of which are consistent, all of which are flavorful and complex and all of which I know I will enjoy whenever I grab them out of the humidor. This stick fits that bill and more! Even though this smoke started off one-dimensional for a short amount of time, the flavors were delightful and far from dull. What stemmed from there was nothing short of incredible! Ripe with an abundance of complexity, flavors, and a series of transitions that told an intriguing story, this smoke proved to be a unicorn in my eyes. "This was a very balanced smoke until the final third. It didn’t lose it completely, but the dark notes definitely took the spotlight in the end. I did enjoy the flavors throughout. Plenty of flavor shifts kept it interesting, which is good, because I got over an hour and a half out of a robusto. The smoke time alone is pretty impressive, and with the flavors, I feel quite satisfied. I would definitely smoke this again, probably even grab some for my stash.
