New York City cigar institution Nat Sherman International Inc. will be adding a Super Lancero size to three of its existing brands. These limited smokes are made in the Dominican Republic at the Quesada Factory (formerly MATASA) and will be available in the Sterling, 1930 Selection and Timeless Collection brands. The cigars measure 8 inches by 38 ring, half an inch longer than the classic Cuban Laguito No. 1.

"The final third of this cigar really upped the enjoyment factor. It took it from good to very good in my opinion. I have always been a fan of cigars with many transitions, and this one did not let me down and threw in a completely unexpected and unique flavor, that made the cigar a true star. The strength and body stayed right in the medium range and can be enjoyed by anyone. The flavors would go well with morning coffee as well as a lighter bodied beer that won't overrun it. "While milder than I tend to reach for, this cigar is quite satisfying. The sum of its parts, in the end, is better than each individual third. The aroma of this cigar is great and would likely not drive away someone otherwise opposed to cigar smoke. It will certainly raise questions from anyone passing by at the lounge. I do wish it could handle maintaining flavors whenever I put the cigar down for a rest. The frequency of puffing required makes this a pretty quick-burning cigar. While it did not offer up any transitions along its length, from the very start it did offer so many varying flavors that a change of profile would have ruined the experience. "I feel like the flavor of this cigar might have been a construction or quality issue. By a couple of inches in the flavor was like I was licking a metal bar and heavy tar flavors mixed in making it pretty much unsmokable. I tried to fight through it but I believe something was just not quite right here.
