"Overall, a great cigar. Plenty of smoke and enjoyable flavors. Although the flavor transitions were not super complex, the flavors of leather, cedar, and the later presence of sweetness made for an overall pleasurable experience. The temperature from the smoke was fairly cool and I was able to take this one all the way down to a nub and never really picked up any harshness. I will definitely smoke this cigar again." -Angel M. In the case of shop events, it can be challenging for a small cigar shop. The difficulty comes in a few different forms. On one hand, a smaller cigar shop simply doesn't have as much space for customers. Also, a brand owner would typically be less inclined to spend the time money and effort to hold an event at a small cigar shop. But brands who have a broad following and dedicated group of talented sales reps can take chances on small shop events, and sometimes turn them into a success. In late July of 2018, I spent the evening at my local shop and had a wonderful time at a small scale cigar event.

"This cigar was fun to smoke. Though it may not be my favorite size, I prefer a 42-48RG, I never once felt uncomfortable smoking it. It was ever changing and kept my interest throughout. This would make a great cigar that could be enjoyed as you were day drinking. Would pair well with any type of spirit and most wines due to it flavor profile. It is a little bit of a time commitment due to it's size but well worth it. I will have to grab a few for my next beer fest or social gathering where I know I will have the time to enjoy it. This was a fast burner. For its size, I would have expected a longer smoke. It was a really good cigar, but for something so special, I wanted a little more. Hopefully with age, things get even better and make it more special. I enjoyed this cigar and am glad I got more to age.
Today, Crowned Heads released details of their upcoming seventh annual release of their Las Calaveras line: Las Calaveras EL 2020. The line debuted in 2014 as a tribute to those who passed away the previous year and to celebrate life and memories, as opposed to a mournful symbol of sadness and death. Each year the line pays tribute to 4 specific people who passed the previous year with a set of initials on each of four coins on the band.

·"This cigar was a nice mix of a dark wrapper with nice smooth subtle flavors that aren't always typical of a cigar with this dark and oily of an exterior. I enjoyed the quick transitions and the way this cigar changed completely from the beginning to the end. It was a small cigar and a bit of a quick burner, but something I can see as 5 pack worthy." -Jack (Jack_H)
