"This cigar delivers a classic experience perfectly. The flavors shifted in interesting ways keeping me engaged, the construction make it an effortless experience, and the quality of smoke was rich and creamy. I'd pick up a box and smoke this any time. " -Alan (Eulogy)

"This cigar was a tale of two halves. The first half had complexity while the second half was on the darker side with little change. I'm not sure if it was me or the blend but by the end, I was left with more questions about how good this cigar could really be. I will definitely revisit this cigar once I know what it is. In anticipation of the winter months, and the need for shorter smoking time, HVC Cigars is releasing a new size of their popular Hot Cake Maduro Line, a classic Half Corona that measures 44 x 3 1/2.
HVC Cigars celebrates Black Friday with a unique blend in its 2023 Limited Edition, featuring more tobacco from Jalapa. Only 600 boxes of the Petit Gordos size were produced, with each cigar priced at $9.80.
"Overall, not a bad tasty cigar, definitely slightly above average if smoked correctly, slow and low. The loose draw made this one smoke rather quickly, 55 minutes to be exact, and forced the smoker to slow down and sip this sample. The creamy notes of almonds, leather, peanut shells, and wood complimented each other very nicely and provided a well-balanced experience. I believe this would only be amplified with a better constructed cigar and would be improved immensely. " -John A. (Bostoneo)
HVC has announced a new regular production line shipping this month: Hot Cake. Hot Cake will begin shipping July 22nd in three vitolas: Corona Gorda (46 x 5 5/8) $7.40, Laguito #5 (54 x 6) $9.00, and Laguito #4 (52 x 4 ½) $8.00.

This year's HVC Black Friday is a different take on the blend according to brand owner Reinier Lorenzo. This year went without ligero, and instead chose only visos and secos in the filler. Most of them are from the Jalapa region and a few from Esteli. He says the visos are powerful enough to bring a unique body to this blend. The wrapper is a Habano 92 from Ecuador.
HVC Cigars has announced two new sizes to their HVC 10 Anniversary cigar that was introcued two years ago. Originally, the cigar was launched in just one size, a 6 1/2 x 50 toro. This new size comes in a more stout 5 x 54 robusto simply called the HVC 10th Anniversary 54.
