"With a lot of cigars I find the cedar to be a bit heavy handed, not so with this one. The transition from a mature cedar to slightly charred then to a young sweeter one was very nice. The addition of hay, grass and leather paired well with the background flavors of nuts, coffee and cocoa. This cigar certainly offered me a very pleasant smoking experience." -Gregg (McGreggor57)

Yes, I knew what I was smoking. Yes, I am a fan of Drew Estate, especially the T-52 and also blends from Willy Herrera. Yes, I am a fan of Caldwell, especially The King is Dead and The Last Tsar. Take all of that into account, and call me a fanboy if you want. I just don't care, because this was an excellent cigar.

Blind Cigar Review: MBombay | Vintage Reserve Lancero 1973

"Perfectly balanced and medium bodied is the best way to sum up this cigar. I had the opportunity to smoke two of these premium cigar offerings... that is like 16" of cigar.. never once did a harsh flavor cross my palate. On the exhale we had cedar, white pepper, herbs, antique tobacco, malts, and a little bit of sweetness. Retro had a delicious creamy airy lemon cake and cedar. Multi-country blend for sure. Perfect construction and burn. This cigar had flavors that reminded me of a old Cuban cigar from the 1980's with double the damn body. Aroma had an ancient library smell. "I liked this a ton. Great flavors in one of my favorite vitolas. Pretty powerful cigar, but there was still a nice range of flavors, and pretty dramatic transitions from yeasty sweetness to dark rich coffee. Only drawback was the rapid burn which seemed to be due to being rather under-filled, at least in the early stages of this smoke. I'd still buy a whole bunch more. " -John I. (John I.)

"All around a great cigar. The flavor profile could have had a bit more of an evolution, but the core flavors were quite enjoyable though out and the retrohale provided a nice change from the standard draw. The creaminess of the smoke could have been a little more consistent as parts of the cigar produced thick creamy clouds but a lot of the time it was a little but thin.
