It is time again for the annual Davidoff Cigars Chinese New Year release. This year is celebrating the Year of the Pig with the Limited Edition cigars and accessories. 2019 is the Year of the Pig with is known for its compassion and generous nature. It is said, those born in this year have a natural talent for success, and being around them is potentially as good for your fortunes as for your spirits.
This years cigar is a fitting pigtailed Gran Toro. The 6 x 56 format uses a Habano 2000 wrapper from Ecuador, Negro San Andrés binder from Mexico and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua and Dominican Republic. Production is limited to 9,300 boxes worldwide and comes in boxes of 10 opulently lacquered Asian-inspired red box. The Pig is represented by a simple and elegant graphic icon executed in gold. Inside the box is a paper insert with the Year of the Pig story.

Davidoff has also released a Year of the Pig ashtray. Made to look like a pigs curves, the ashtray is made in Italy of aluminum and surrounded by red leather. The Davidoff logo is engraved on the metal and there are only 300 made. The MSRP is $395. The year of the Pig cigars and ashtray will be available at select Davidoff Appointed Merchants starting this month.
